I guess she's on our team now.
But I'm not sure I want this airhead on my team.

Actually, she grabbed a knife, so she already did better than a lot of liberals, who would have followed the Brady campaign's advice of "try to be nice and sweet and reason with the intruder."
And, it's good to see that she's learned that bringing a knife to a gun fight can frequently have severe negative consequences for the one with the knife, such as death. Too bad it took a home invasion for her to learn.

I have been an anti-hand gun person for years, mainly because they serve one purpose: to kill people. Yes, and the snow at this winters' Olympic biathlon will be red with blood. /sarcasm

Anyway, I begin my gun classes in January. I hear that with a shotgun, I won't miss much, so for the record, I also am buying a raffle ticket from the Texas Tech Polo Club.I'm glad to see she's taking classes, because she obviously has a lot to learn. Shot placement does matter, even with a shotgun. Unless you live in a bowling alley, the shot will not spread very much by the time it reaches the target.

I reside in West Texas for ten years now.H ave had to use a gun on three separate occasions. Each time I could have used deadly force if I so chose to do so.Due to prior training,I chose not to.Taking a life is serious stuff. The last time,I killed a mans brand new forty five thousand dollar p.u.Word got around in this small town.Due to my location,I still have to be ever vigilate, but, thank GOD,I live in Texas.

Just a note to all the bad guys out there.
The last Texan without a gun has been found and the situation corrected. You are now officially SOL.
Go get a job.

Pillows and butcher knives? Good grief...
Classes are an excellent idea, and the young woman will quickly learn that a firearm brings sanity to this situation, not insanity. Of course, one needs to be adult enough to take on the responsibility for life and death, and if there's one thing that typifies the anti-gun liberal in my view it's the refusal to do precisely that.

So, stupid liberal gets hit square in the face by reality -- now, because she sees the need, guns are finally OK. Gosh, I'm ever so glad she checked in with the rest of us and has given the OK. I must not have been present when the liberals were appointed moral compass for the rest of us. What a flaming loser. I wouldn't be surprised if she eventually turns anti-gun again....time will tell. Until then I view people like this at best as fair weather 'friends'.

mainly because they serve one purpose: to kill people. I guess all three of mine are abject failures. The only things they've killed are soda cans, .22 ammo boxes, the occasional spent shotgun shell, piece of clay target, and of course lots and lots of paper.
But they are very useful in stopping a threat. It's just a fact of physiology that sufficient force to reliably stop an attack is also somewhat likely to kill the attacker
