[history]
This story was reported on Fox and Friends this morning.
Joshua Sparling just got to Walter Reed last week and received ONE letter from someone writing in a child's printing. Among other things it told him to die. The soldier has the card on the wall of his room. I know FReepers can counter this despicable action with some of our own letters.
Joshua Sparling
Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20307-5001
Update: Since Joshua will undoubtedly be overwhelmed by America's response, please consider sending (instead of or in addition to Joshua) cards to these find troops:
Excerpt from Brian K. at FNC:

Capt. James Ollinger

I'm sending a card to Joshua and everyone on the list today, as, I'm sure will hundreds of other FReepers. I have a feeling that whoever is responsible for the mail at Walter Reed this week will be quite busy!

Hot my envelope in the mail today -- we had to go buy some big manilla envelopes to fit Shorty's 20x30" poster in or it would have gone out yesterday!!
BTTT!!!

I never go to DU either. I have followed a few links which took me there over the last few years, but it is always a waste of time for me.
I'll let others keep an eye on that wasteland for me.

I'd think 5 or 6. That handwriting is lousy. And what's with the misplaced comma.
I hope Miguel can't sit down for a year.

The pic of Joshua is at the link I posted in 240. I didn't want to post the photo here since it will be a drain on the guy's website.
Here's the link again.

Just scroll down to the photo of him reading to 2 little children. Can't miss it.

I got on my AKO account and searched for Joshua Sparling as well as Walter J. Rausch. No results for either name. Not that that proves anything - I could have missed a step or something in entering the information. Will the real Sparling and Rausch please, well, step forward?
