Is a Bush endorsement of McCain enough to sway your opinion?

Some on the morning talk shows suggested that McCain is the natural successor to Bush for his committment to the war, and that Bush will "pass the baton" to him.

My question is: if Bush endorses McCain will you think aboout voting for him? Personally I don't care for McCain for a number of reasons, but if I think he will continue W's legacy, I might reconsider.

I have found that hard leftists that I encounter on the job also find McCain to be palatable. This is disturbing to say the least.

I know a very liberal woman that absolutely hates Bush. She is always saying some of the most whacked out stuff about him. She couldn't think of one good thing to say about Bush. And guess what? She likes McCain.

I will never vote for McCain, no matter who endorses him. Like many others here I will either sit the election, just not cast a vote for president or vote for the most conservative 3rd party candidate out there.

I don't like McCain at all !
However the RINO label doesn't really apply to McCain in the truest definition of the word. (Conceited "It'sall-about-me" type of jerk however does!) He is far more reliable on conservative issues then Snowe, Collins, Chaffe & Specter. These in my mind are the true RINOs with Specter being the basic definition ! I believe McCain is in the ACU rankings at the mid-to-high 80% on issues near & dear. For example Specter, etc aren't even in the ballpark. As you said McCain is reliable on the War on Terror.

Again all his warts aside if its McCain vs Hillary (or any other Demo-Dummie), then there is no question its McCain & grit my teeth. Its too dangerous a time go off in a huff and take my toys and go home as some GOP'er seem to want to do.
At times I think I could support a Lieberman for President BUT even democrats who "Get it" bring in way too much baggage. A democrat administration will be staffed with moon-bats, 'we-are-the-world' types, tree huggers, terrorist huggers, soicalist/communist rent seekers, unilateral disarmerspro-abortions(probably would push abortion at the toddler level!) and those who would make being a gay a requirement let alone a "lifestyle" !
Do you really think attendance at a CFR meeting (or subscribing to their journal Foreign Relations... by the way a tedious publication!) makes the proposed GOP candidate a bigger threat to US sovereignty then another Demo administration full of the types listed above ?

Not in the primaries. But in the gen. election he still beats the Kerrys and Clintons. Please, Lord give us a better chice.

Not just that, but a few weeks ago Jeb endorsed a proposed bit of Florida legislation that would have mandatory Spanish language instruction for all early elementary students. Think he is going to do any more about the immigration problems? He's not acting like he expects anything except continued, massive immigration from Central and South America.

McCain has an uphill battle to win the conservative base to his side.

IMO, John has "gravitas" issues. He comes of, at least to me, as less than an inspiring leader. To much waffle; too much fluff.

If he tries to run, we will see a Muskie in the streets of New Hampshire. (For the youngsters, that's a public weeping moment when meanies say ugly things about you or your wifr.)

IMHO, then you will be voting for WHOEVER is the Rep candidate.

Again, IMHO, once mclame figures out he might not get the 2008 Rep POTUS slot, he will accept Hillary's offer as VP for 2008.

I won't, but neither will I put the likes of a psycho like McCain in office just to stop her.

She couldn't live within the safe confines of the White House forever, nor would she necessarily be safe there if she attempted the things you suggest.
