(Rapper) 50 (Cent) calls Bush 'a gangsta' (Calls Bush 'Incredible,' Would've Voted for Him)
Posted on 11/28/2005 12:06:03 PM PST by nickcarraway
50 Cent and Kanye West are the only ones selected to be GQ's "Men of the Year" who have no false modesty about it both of the hip-hop stars justify their big egos in the mag's pages. But they also have more on their minds than just themselves. Like George W. Bush, for one. 50 thinks the president is "incredible ... a gangsta." "I wanna meet George Bush, just shake his hand and tell him how much of me I see in him," 50 told GQ. If the rapper's felony conviction didn't prevent him from voting, 50 said he would have voted for Bush. Meanwhile, Kanye basically called Bush a racist on national television, and has since rethought his strategy for speaking out. "When NBC edited it out on the West Coast, that was a wakeup call," West told the magazine. "It let people know how censored we still are. This is supposed to be America, but you can't get your opinion out. There's all kinds of things I want to say, but I need to pace myself, to make sure my opportunities to say these things aren't taken away too abruptly."

How can a gangsta raper be a Democrat. Have you ever seen them? They carry guns, drive huge SUVs and hate paying taxes.
To: fhlh
True! the tolorant left might start calling him an 'uncle tom' and throw oreos on the stage at his concerts...Now that I would pay money to see. Wanna place any bets on the number of times the cookie-thrower gets shot?
To: GregoTX
It is wrong on many levels....many. But here is the problem...if you mention them, you're a racist. If you try to parallel, you're a racist. How ever you try to explain it, you're a racist. You cannot speak out against anything of the black culture, or some out there will label you.
Welcome to the new America. If you do not follow the flock, you're a baaaaaad person...

Grammar, son. Grammar. Very important.
Now, about this, "can't get your opinion out", business. What exactly do you rap about on your CD's?
"There's all kinds of things a want to say, but I need to pace myself, to make sure my opportunities to say these things aren't taken away too abruptly."
Sounds to me as though Mr. Kanye is feelin' pretty free about speaking his mind there, and it doesn't appear to me that anyone is censoring him.
Well, 50 Cent has more cents than Kanye(Pun intended).

I think that is a great picture. I wish that today we could see more singers/actors posing for shots like that.

Yeah, and probably most of 50's fans are likewise ineligible.

So....2 of the 3 GQ "Men of the Year" (and the 2 men) are Bush fans? IIRC, Vince Vaughn's a conservative as well.
What's up at GQ?
