CNN Fires Switch Board Employee Who Berated Callers!!
Daily Pundit ^

The following is an update from Daily Pundit who has chronicled the UNBELIEVABLE behavior of CNN employees in the wake of the X/Cheney incident. A switch board operator who berated callers to CNN telling them "Bush and Cheney should stop lying" and that "Putting the X over Cheney's face was freedom of speach" has been fired by CNN. This has been confirmed! Visit this link to hear the tape.
I just got off the phone with Laurie Goldberg, Senior Vice President for Public Relations with CNN. Her statement confirms the authenticity of the tape recording and reveals the actions CNN took after learning of the incident:
"A Turner switchboard operator was fired today after we were alerted to a conversation the operator had with a caller in which the operator lost his temper and expressed his personal views -- behavior that was totally inappropriate. His comments did not reflect the views of CNN. We are reaching out to the caller and expressing our deep regret to her and apologizing that she did not get the courtesy entitled to her. "

WOW! This guy will be a MILLIONAIRE! Expect him to tell his harrowing tale of how CNN took his freedom of speech all over every cable/Network talk show for the next six months.
I'll bet he'll even get a guest slot on the next Michael Moore "documentary".

Flashing the X was obviously intentional...leaving
on long enough for the concious mind was the error
in their plan. CNN has been using subliminal
brainweashing to attack the Bush admin, andpromote
leftist death freaks and socialisr perverts.

They should know better than to hire guys as operators or customer service reps - especially guys with pms.

Who knows? One day cnn may become a creditable news source. You know, where the editorial page and front page are different.
I wonder if Pinch will read this post...?

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - RTL Group is buying out CNN's 50-percent share in German news channel n-tv, taking its stake to 100 percent, it said on Thursday. It declined to name a price for the transaction, which is subject to approval from cartel and media regulators. "N-tv is an important member of our family of complementary broadcasters," RTL said in a statement. "The planned step will give n-tv the necessary room for maneuver for the strategic challenges of the future." RTL, Europe's biggest TV broadcaster, has 32 television channels and 31 radio stations in 11 countries. They include M6 in France and Five in Britain. CNN, a division of global media conglomerate Time Warner Inc., became a shareholder in n-tv in 1993, a year after n-tv was launched. RTL and CNN have been 50-percent shareholders in n-tv since 2002. RTL says n-tv attracts more than 5 million viewers per day, around 6 percent of Germany's population. It has less than 1 percent of the German TV advertising market.Selling off profitable foreign investments trying to keep afloat. Coupled with the old adage of "there is no such thing as bad press". The implications of this whole incident was poorly calculated.
