CNN Fires Switch Board Employee Who Berated Callers!!

The following is an update from Daily Pundit who has chronicled the UNBELIEVABLE behavior of CNN employees in the wake of the X/Cheney incident. A switch board operator who berated callers to CNN telling them "Bush and Cheney should stop lying" and that "Putting the X over Cheney's face was freedom of speach" has been fired by CNN. I just got off the phone with Laurie Goldberg, Senior Vice President for Public Relations with CNN. Her statement confirms the authenticity of the tape recording and reveals the actions CNN took after learning of the incident:

"A Turner switchboard operator was fired today after we were alerted to a conversation the operator had with a caller in which the operator lost his temper and expressed his personal views -- behavior that was totally inappropriate. His comments did not reflect the views of CNN. We are reaching out to the caller and expressing our deep regret to her and apologizing that she did not get the courtesy entitled to her. "

I spend at least one night a week in a motel for work and many times, have told the motel manager I choose my motels by the news channels they have available. Several times, Fox News was added. There is good reason because few people watch CNN anyway.
Have any of you seen CNN International ?? The most pathetic anti- American station I have ever seen. I e-mailed CNN and asked how these people could call themselves American. The US is responsible for all bad in the world !! Pathetic station !!!!

Nice comments. Two weeks ago I was in Atlanta for a seminar at the Omni Hotel/CNN Center. This was the most awful hellhole I ever spent 48 hours in. Besides the nonstop CNN flat screens EVERYWHERE, I had the opportunity to overhear conversations at tables in the restaurant between producers and staff working on news stories. These idiots feel so safe around there you can hear them quite easily. At one table a producer was having tough time finding a way to "attract gays/lesbians interest in a show she was producing. Of course after hours in the sports bar downstairs, drunk assholes were busy trying to weigh office issues and political opinion. Several times I just busted out laughing at these liberal idiots. Hannity could easily put staff members around that place and easily come up with the greatest soundbites. WHAT A ZOO!! I came away convinced that these idiots will never be a MAJOR news outlet again. Of course I skipped the 3 story escalator ride to the hollow globe to watch the newscast ($10.00).

Of course these idiots put an X across Cheney's face.
