Now we understand why they say "abstinence doesn't work".

They aren't trying abstinence. They are redefining the term.

The Sex Positive agenda seeks to see everyone sexually active at every age. They declare that abstinence is unhealthy because it is a supression of sexual desires. Same take they have on homosexuality.

If Kids don't have sex the abortion industry would take a cut in profits and that is unacceptable to Planned Parenthood and the like. I bet a pro-abortion group is behind this chart.

'Withdrawal' is a plank in the Democrat, party platform.

What's this? Leftists re-defining a word? Well ...

They did it with liberal.
They did it with gay.
They did it with marriage.
Now they're doing with abstinence.

These communists are "doing it" all over the place. But it's just about sex. Move along.

This is the legacy of "depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is"

Anything they don't like, just redefine what it means. Up until recently, millions, maybe billions, of people thought they knew what "marriage" was. Nice of the loony left to show up and enlighten us.

"I was told by my son’s health teacher that withdrawal and rhythm are considered abstinence because [sexual partners] are refraining from what they want to do."

Anyone who would argue that these two forms of modifying sexual activity could be considered forms of "abstinence" is either a complete idiot or completely disingenuous. Either way, such a person cannot be trusted to convey important information to children.

You can't expect the publik edoocashun system to know definitions of real words, for goodness' sake!

Why can't they speak the obvious truth:

Abstinence is refraining from any contact with the private parts of another person. Period.

In "Stranger Danger" lessons, the private parts are simply defined as those that would be covered by your bathing suit.

How hard is it to teach that?

Dear liberals:

Please stop defining words to suit your own perverted needs. This ain't Wonderland and you ain't Humpty Dumpty.

Thanks.

The chart must have been designed by Slick "I-didn't-have-sex" Willy.

People in this country worry too much about who's having sex with whom. That said, a sex ed program that doesn't define "abstinence" accurately is pretty sad.

‘‘Since when did the term abstinence change to include the two most ineffective forms of birth control possible?”

Well, actually, the second and third least effective. The least effective being intercourse and just playing the odds against pregnancy- "Poke and Hope"- if you will.

Both Planned Parenthood of Maryland and the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington agreed with the parents that the definition was faulty.

Uh..... no fooling.
