Funny. I didn't think the Dems were Commander in Chief. Hmpf.
I also heard on NPR this morning they've changed their strategy to focus on Afghanistan again. They had a story about a single Indian road contractor that had been killed by the Taliban.
So I guess if you can't get the people tired of Iraq, go back to trying to tire them on Afghanistan. *rolling eyes*

"the Democratic party doesn't have a good plan for how to get out of Iraq because there is no good plan to get out of Iraq."The 'suave' John Dickerson of Slate? That sounds more like the de-balled, DNC water-carrier of Slate. Miserable piss-ants!

Setting the stage for Hillary and her new "there's a third way" plan, perhaps?

LOL. I'm listening to Andrea Mitchell on Imus trying to explain why a perfectly clear answer to a perfectly clear question is not what it seems to be. Apparently, we are to belive that the much vaunted "journalist", Ms. Mitchell, is just not very good at her job and doesn't know much of anything.

They CAN'T come up with a plan. Because it would be identical to what's actually going on now. They can't denounce a plan and then turn around and put their name on the same plan. Their propensity for "Everything Bush" is bad has gotten them "between IRAQ and a hard place".......

This would be much easier if we followed the constitution:
Congress shall have power to declare war.
It can't be much simpler.

Uh, wasn't it just two weeks ago that Kerry demanded more troops in Iraq? Flip flop. Again.

"Do Democrats Have Plan for Iraq?"
Well, of course!!! How many times have we heard:
John Kerry: "I have a plan."
See, John has a plan. Details? To which Kerry responds:
John Kerry: "How dare you question my patriotism !"
Next topic....

When a talking head asks them if they've got a plan, they say, "Of course, we've got a plan." Then they rattle off a list of things that Bush has been doing for the last 3 years anyway.

I think it's the Today show's attempt to dictate Democrat policy since the 'Rats can't seem to come up with their own.

Norah then asked the obvious question: "But where is the Democrats' plan? They've yet to agree on an exit strategy." Maybe the Dem's hypocrisy is so obvious that even the MSM can't ignore it.

Okay, here's what interests me. This being the second day that the Today show focused not on Bush's incompetence/misleading/evilness, and actually broke ranks with the Dems (who must be livid at their friends), seems to be a quick turnaround. At the same time, my liberal/socialist/Democrat talking point newspaper the Albany Times Union has run two days of actually talking to returning troops in the area, who are not shy in telling reporters that there has been success in Iraq...and that the media is focussing on the wrong stories.
I don't think this is a coincidence, it is another coordination of the press doing a 180. Not out of an objective look at the truth, but out of fear. I think the MSM is starting to see that the Dems are dragging them down, and are doing a quick CYA since it looks like Iraq may actually turn out to be a good turning point in history.
My prediction: Iraq will start to become less of a focus for the media (except basic reporting), while the battle lines are changed to another front in the War on Bush/Republicans. Look for another "scandal" unrelated to the war, as they fish around for anything/everything they can to put themselves back on the Bush Is Evil track for their hopeful Dem wins in '06 and '08.

Do you think they are angry that the dems. didn't vote the right way last week and now they are going to turn on them? Not for long but enough to let them know they are not happy with their alliance?
