CAMDEN, New Jersey (AP) -- For the second year in a row this destitute city of Camden, New Jersey, has been named the nation's most dangerous, according to a company's annual ranking based on crime statistics.
Last year, the distinction seemed to hurt city boosters' feelings more than it harmed revitalization efforts. This time, city leaders are offended by the ranking, calling it unfair.
"We're doing so many nice things now. It's unfortunate that somebody always wants to bad-mouth Camden," Mayor Gwendolyn Faison said.
The city took the top spot last year from Detroit, which remained No. 2 in the most dangerous city rankings, to be released Monday by Morgan Quitno Press.
The Lawrence, Kansas-based company publishes "City Crime Rankings," an annual reference book.
Listed as the most dangerous cities are: Camden, New Jersey; Detroit, Michigan; St. Louis, Missouri; Flint, Michigan; Richmond, Virginia; Baltimore, Maryland; Atlanta, Georgia; New Orleans, Louisiana; Gary, Indiana; Birmingham, Alabama

Please, he's not recognizing a fact. It's not as though he's pointing out a bizarre coincidence and you know it. The not-so-subtle implication is that these cities are dangerous because of the high percentage of black people living there. Are you agreeing that black people are dangerous? I hope not.
That's your own racist interpretation to assume such a thing.
The correct analysis is to reference a county-by-county election map from November 2, 2004. The tumors that invade this nation reside at the same geographic coordinates as those cities listed. Those tumors are blue.
Exploiting race as a factor is an art practiced by such whores as Jesse Jackson or any modern liberal.

Guess we chose wisely to decide to move from the Socialist Republic of WA state to Wyoming.
You have my condolences.
I was in Memphis for the first time recently and was shocked at the number of hookers on the streets.
Thanks, but you might better direct you condolences to someone who actually lives in that rat (and 'Rat) infested hellhole. I'm just the neighbour of the beast; Fairfax County is a much nicer place than Washington.
We sill sic our terrorist allies and communist rabble on you until you are beaten into submission to our glorious forms as you bow to the alter of our New Age paganism while your evil churches and synagogues burn and your (I mean the State's) children are sent to our Hitle...I mean Hillary Youth Camps!!!
There they will receive their indoctrination and brainwashing...I mean outcome-based public education from our education experts like that wonderful, tolerant man Ward Chruchill (he's a real life Native American, not like you righties who just had 20 generations of family born in the US) and that bastion of open-mindedness and really great speller, Professor Daly!!
After all, the Left has ruled the plantations, I mean worker's paradises of the cities like Detroit, Chicago, and New Orleans for years and look at how we *take care* of people!! In N.O. we wouldn't let them evacuate on lowly school buses and evil trains, we wanted Greyhounds! And after the floods, we did everything we could to stop the military and FEMA from coming in and seeing the misery we put these people through...ummm... I mean keeping those good people from being hurt.. Yeah, that's it!
(/sarcasm)
Sorry, I had to rant against these leftists who let their people burn in cesspools while they proclaim and force through their elitist Bovine Secretion policies that only empower criminals and reduce good poeple to sniviling sheeple unable, and unwilling to protect themselves.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. And that is also a hallmark of the "progressive" left. And because of that, our cities "progress" to staggering murder/assault/rape rates and continue to "progress" into a deep hole.
HA! HA! HA! One doesn't have to be a brain surgeon. The majority electorate keeps voting for the democRATS. As long as people like Torricelli, McGreevey, Corzine, Lautenberg are at the helm don't look for improvement.
Six out of the twentyfive safest metro areas were in Wisconsin. I assure you that Wisconsin has one of the highest if not the highest rate of gun ownership in the country. But of course guns cause crime as all libs tell us. (smirk)
In that case, I hope you accept my most humble and sincere apology. I completely misread your intent.
Please take one thing into consideration when you say St. Louis Missouri. I live in St. Louis Missouri by mailing address, but I live in St. Louis COUNTY Missouri. The county ain't NOTHING like the city!
LOL, just about the only good thing to come out of Detroit in the last generation was my wife too! We're tucked away safely in one the west-side red 'burbs.
We've got our retirement chalet up north, lots of acres.
Talk about a state of contrasts - the best of the best and the worst of the worst.
You have blizzards and hurricanes any day? Well, good luck with that.
