OK, we should take a bet -- Next February, how many times will we hear a democrat call for support of anything Murtha says.
I'll vote for 0.
Murtha interview on CNN; judging from this interview, he's loving this.
Says he's the one who found the missing equipment, etc.
Needless to say, CNN isn't showing any GOPers refuting what he's saying.
I did, in fact, note the quotes around the word attacking. And I thought It was a shrewd observation. Hyde's comments were very shrewd, IMHO, as well.

My plan calls:
To immediately redeploy U.S. troops consistent with the safety of U.S. forces.
To create a quick reaction force in the region.
To create an over- the- horizon presence of Marines.
Apparently, he wants to withdraw immediately, but, leave the Marines close by, so they can go right back in .
This Buyer guy from Indiana's a good speaker.
Sam--from what I've read here, Murtha is right behind Robert Byrd in the number of public works named after him.
What bothered me too is Tom Lantos speaking so highly of him. Tom Lantos was rescued from a Nazi concentration camp by American forces in 1945.
We were losing men at a high rate in 1945. If we had a Murtha moment in Feb. 1945 and redeployed away from the Nazis, Tom Lantos would have not seen 1946.
Of all people, he should know what is at stake here.

Exactly what I would like to know. Since his little speech yesterday, he has been saying 80% of Iraqis want us out. This is absolute BS! These people have a major vote coming up and the last thing they want is to become the target of insurgents who would seek out all these "democratic" supporting people.
Murtha is all over Al Jazeera.
