Sam--from what I've read here, Murtha is right behind Robert Byrd in the number of public works named after him.

What bothered me too is Tom Lantos speaking so highly of him. Tom Lantos was rescued from a Nazi concentration camp by American forces in 1945.

We were losing men at a high rate in 1945. If we had a Murtha moment in Feb. 1945 and redeployed away from the Nazis, Tom Lantos would have not seen 1946.

Of all people, he should know what is at stake here.
