Bill Clinton Calls Iraq 'Big Mistake' Nov 16 2:23 PM US/Eastern

By LARA SUKHTIAN Associated Press Writer

Excerpt: DUBAI, United Arab Emirates Former President Clinton told Arab students Wednesday the United States made a "big mistake" when it invaded Iraq, stoking the partisan debate back home over the war.

Clinton cited the lack of planning for what would happen after Saddam Hussein was overthrown.

"Saddam is gone. It's a good thing, but I don't agree with what was done," Clinton told students at a forum at the American University of Dubai.

"It was a big mistake. The American government made several errors ... one of which is how easy it would be to get rid of Saddam and how hard it would be to unite the country."

Where was Clinton during:

1. WTC '93
2. USS Cole
3. US Embassy bombing in Kenya

Slick Willie was too busy getting sucked down to know what time it was, much less anything else.

"Clinton's legacy will not be helped by his futile try at diminishing President Bush's, nor is it going to help get his wife elected president.

Why can't Clinton just shut up and go away?

He needs to realize his only legacy is a blow job in The Oval Office and come to grips with that fact.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Bush 41 created the Perot movement with his incompetence and inattention to domestic matters.

His son's doing little better by spitting on those who put him in office expecting controlled spending, border control and other *conservative* policies rather than empty rhetoric mismatched with *liberal* actions.

Should the Dem, worse if it's Hillary, win in 2008 will be largely of his making because good people will either find another candidate or simply not participate in another Republican fraud.

No, November 1992 was a big mistake. The war is warranted and being won as we speak.

It's what we all have wished for, for a very long time. Sadly, X42 seems to just go on and on and on and on....:-(

Hanging is too good for him.

I agree. This is outrageous.

Clinton lowers the bar in (or stains) everything he does.

This time it's post-Presidential behaviour.

Was Iraq a "Big Mistake" when Clinton was President and ordered air raids on Baghdad?

Dick Morris thinks this is Clinton protecting Hillary's left while she runs right by voting for the war and talking tough. It's triangulation. These are the most putrid political figures of their generation.

I laughed out loud when O'Reilly said, "I may be ignorant but I can't believe [Bill]'d say this for political reasons..."

William "bl*wj*b" Clinton is a festering sore on American political history.

Iraq a big mistake? Perhaps selling military technology to the Red Chinese was a big mistake. Or perhaps letting the Red Chinese agent, Wen Ho Lee, run will at Los Alamos and send nuclear technology to the Red Chinese was a mistake.

There's a pattern here - treason at the very top. Clinton wanted and connived for some sort of disaster, like a terrorist nuclear attack, to occur during his presidency so he could declare martial law and remain president forever. May he have his appointment with the Devil sooner rather than later.

Hey wait - I thought he had an epiphany while in surgery....

But then again, he said he saw Hilary's face. Must have been a satanic epiphany.

And he sure is talking alot of stuff just weeks after touring with Herbert Walker.
