Foster parents arrested on rape, sodomy charges

By The Associated Press Thursday, November 17, 2005

SUNNY VALLEY, Ore. (AP) -- Two foster parents from Southern Oregon are facing charges of sexually abusing at least three children in their care, police said.

The case began when Josephine County deputies found a 13-year-old runaway last Sunday; the girl told them she'd left home to escape being sexually abused by her foster father, Greg Miller.

According to police, Miller and his wife Colleen were the adoptive parents of seven children between the ages seven and 15, who had been adopted from state agencies in Colorado and Utah within the past five years.

Detectives interviewed the children and learned that Greg Miller had alleged sexual intercourse with three of the female children, a 13-year-old and two 15-year-olds, officials said.

Colleen Miller allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old male child, police said. Deputies also believe she sodomized a 15-year-old female, officials said.

Detectives also were told that Greg Miller wed one of his foster daughters in a mock wedding ceremony at the family home, complete with wedding cake, a ring and a white dress, officials said.

Colleen Miller allegedly encouraged sexual relations between all seven of the children, according to a report in the Mail-Tribune newspaper of Medford. Statements from several of the children indicated that sexual contact between them occurred on a regular basis within the home, police said.

A search of the home Monday produced evidence supporting the children's' claims, according to police. Detectives found pornographic pictures, movies, marital-aid devices and the wedding dress reportedly worn by the 15-year-old girl, police said.

Police arrested Greg Miller Monday in Grants Pass. They tracked Colleen Miller to Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and arrested her on Wednesday. Her statements so far have implicated both of their involvement in the alleged abuse, police said.

Greg Miller is being held in the Josephine County Jail on three counts of rape. Colleen Miller remains in custody in Tennessee and is facing rape and sodomy charges.

The children were taken into custody by the Oregon Department of Human Services, where they will remain during the investigation.

Where in Josephine county did this outrage happen?

Was there any real coverage of this in the local media outlets, newspapers and tv channels?

Thanks.

Ironic, you mention whipping. The wagon trains that set out on the Oregon Trail often including the warning that any rapist would receive 39 lashes a day for three days, then banishment, naked except for a loin cloth. I don't ever recall ever reading that it was applied.

"Is here a punishment that would entail these two being sodomized to death?"

Dogs can be trained to do this, quite proficiently. It's painless for the dog, but I don't know if it can be done to death.

Thank you. I wish that you had been able to find hard data to refute my post - alas, the world (and people) doesn't seem to work that way.

This is one area in which I wish I were wrong. But, as Rep. Davy Crockett said - "Government can not do charity."
He understood why the Founders carefully chained government. To loosen those chains is most unwise, as we are finding out.

If so, check Free Republic for a thread about a ranch on Oregon specializing in beastiality. A customer died of his "experience" with a horse.

Eeeeech - the things that make the papers these days is enough to gag a maggot.

On the other hand, some of the FR commentary was a bit funny. OK - hilarious, if the truth be told.

Sunny Valley... just outside of Grants Pass.

The local media covered it, but the article I posted was from a small paper a thousand miles away.

The Medford Tribune and Grants Pass Courier both extol the virtues of homosexual monogamy and perverts in general, so I don't expect any critical editorials...

I would rather they be unceremoniously shot and thrown off a boat for fish food...

No one will be holding their breath waiting for critical editorials about recognizing evil people and protecting the young against these the evil ones.

"I'm simply amazed they don't try to smear Christians by implying these are church-going people".

Yeah, and also asking with innocent wide-eyes if these two perverts weren't home-schoolers.
