Can you name me someone dumber than Senator Rockefeller? The combined intelligence of Collins & Sno

Boxer and Feinstein. Hands down Dumb and Dummer. Kerry-Kennedy close second. Biden all by himself. Hagel. Chaffe. Jeffords.

I don't know about the others, but I know cable companies do monitor. I know because people who work there have told me that.

Eleanor Clift was just on Fox debating the Iraq pre-war intelligence thing...

She said exactly this, "IF we had found WMDS, the war would of course been worth it..."..

So, if 2, 5, 10, 20 years from now, we get a chance to look and find the weapons in Syria or Lebanon....will she and others apologize...and would it matter?

NO and NO!

IMO, it is the MOU in combination with threats from Reid that keeps Frist and Specter from advancing any of the stalled nominations

How much of this is caused by that stupid Blue Strip or what ever rule?

The rule, that A Senator,(That's right ONE Senator all by themselves), can block action on a nomination from his/her State. Time for the world's most expensive brothel, the US Senate, to evolve beyond these quaint archaic 18th Century Protocol Rules they live by.

Amen

I am a firm believer that the electoral process is about electing SERVANTS. Not leaders.... before you get your panties in a wad-- please give me a chance to explain what I mean.-- keep reading...

WE elect SERVANTS. This means that those we elect SERVE at OUR pleasure. SERVE AT OUR PLEASURE.

WHEN WE ELECT these SERVANTS- we EXPECT them to go to WASHINGTON and LEAD. YES- they are OUR SERVANTS- but we expect them to take a LEADERSHIP ROLE IN WASHINGTON! Instead we seem to get people who try and SELL TO US that they are LEADERS- then go to Washington and sit around whining and wringing their hands- just waiting for someone to ACT like a leader so they can follow that guy.

RIDICULOUS! I have seen VERY FEW get it right since Gingrich. Newt KNEW he was here to SERVE- and sent that message by naming the Republican Platform -- "CONTRACT WITH AMERICA." He knew he was making promises to US! AMERICA! THE PEOPLE! He KNEW IT! THEN HE SAT IN WAShINGTON AND SHOWED LEADERSHIP to MAKE IT HAPPEN!

My husband argues with his friends at work all of the time...they are ALL dems...and he says that he says to them that if Bush is such a bad POTUS, then why haven't we been "hit" again, since 9/11.

He asked me today why I thought we hadn't been hit again, and I said, "Because Bin Ladin (if alive), Zawahiri and Al-Zarqawi are watching the democrats and the media do their job for them...

They are bringing down the POTUS that the terrorists hate...and they are coming CLOSE to (but won't accomplish) a Vietnam-type pull-out of troops...which would render the US impotent in the world...thus, giving them the "open door" you were referring to.

I wonder if those people in France have a "terrorism" clause in their automobile insurance..so the insurance companies won't have to pay for all of these burned cars.

If not now, I bet the insurance companies start adding it to future policies.

100% right. Why should Bin Ladin, and the rest of the murderers even bother coming here, the left in this country is doing a damn good job of destroying the country through lies, deception and a complete denigrating of the troops. Recall Turbin Durbin speech accusing Gitmo soldiers of torture..

I had almost forgotten your wonderful system of keeping track of the nominees...thanks again.

Yeppers, if I were Brett Kavanaugh and Saad, I would write off my chances...seems this Senate doesn't have the stomach for a fight over filibusters.

I think that's a very accurate take on Richardson.

I'm still trying to get over Clinton sending Marines to Haiti

That's because Bill Clinton was UNELECTED (defeated) as Governor of Arkansas because of Jimmy Carter sending Haitians to Arkansas and some of them escaped! He is paranoid of Haitians! lol!

His first term was fraught with difficulties, including an unpopular motor vehicle tax and popular anger over the escape of Cuban prisoners (from the Mariel Boat Lift) detained in Fort Chafee, AR in 1980.

While we were getting reports about this and that, I don't believe we had enough intel on the ground in Iraq to really substantiate what Saddam was doing.

That's because of the Church Commission (I believe) and the BubbaMan .. who had, with the help of his political cronies and henchmen (Torricelli) and women (Gorelick), decimated our intelligence agencies and humint capacity .. hence our undue extensive reliance on foreign intelligence agencies. Ours were starved and beaten to a nub of their former capacity and viability.

This "Bush lied" mantra has been driving me up the wall for three years. I mean, how can so many otherwise intelligent people (my relatives and co-workers) swallow this tripe. Then today I followed a link about Bubbah in 1998 and it clicked. They think Bush lied because he used klintoons words to justify the overthrow of Saddam's regime and everyone knows klintoon always lies so Bush must be lying. Maybe it's just my simple mind but it works for me. I can't wait to confront them with it tomorrow.
