November 11, 2005 -- Thousands of Arabs, outraged by the Muslim-vs.-Muslim bombings in Jordan, angrily rallied against al Qaeda yesterday as investigators arrested Iraqi suspects. "Burn in hell, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi!" Jordanians chanted outside one of the hotels blasted by alleged supporters of al Qaeda's Iraqi chief.

You have some good points. However, I think that if we in America are to live in peace with islam, and the nearly 2 billion or so with whom you have no beef, is it not incumbent on the latter to be heard, that they do not hold the same beliefs as the islamists? Or, is it logical to hold that by their silence they acquiesce to the islamists beliefs? Taking your view, they (the nearly 2 billion muslims who purportedly are not "terrorists") are the "Silent Majority" of islam, or so some would have us believe. I am of the view that until the majority of "peaceful" muslims state unequivocally that they are with us, they must be viewed with suspicion, even as the enemy of America.

I didn't see anything like that in the second statement.

StillProud, did you see anything like this on the Jihadi boards or newsletters?

Here is StillProud's jihadi translations, Cap Huff.

10 November 2005 - Zarqawi audio from April promising "what is to come will be more vicious and more bitter" rereleased today

A 7 minutes, 23 second audio tape, originally released April 29, 2005, was released this morning by Abu Mus'ab al Zarqawi, whose group took credit for yesterday's attacks in Amman, is promising more attacks.

In the tape, he promises "what is to come will be more vicious and more bitter" than the attacks yesterday in Amman.

Although it is not possible to completely authenticate the tape, the voice and format, as well as the method of distribution, are consistent with those previously released by Zarqawi. It has been widely acknowedged at the time of the April release that it was almost certainly Zarqawi.

10 November 2005 - Al Qaeda in Iraq takes credit for Amman blasts

A second, and much more credible, claim of responsibility for yesterday's Amman attacks has emerged from Al Qaeda of Mesopotamia, the branch of the terror organization run by Jordanian Abu Mus'ab al Zarqawi.

The posting was made on a number of jihadi websites during the night by Abu Masayra al Iraqi, who traditionally releases statements on behalf of the group. The posting was also released on the Ansar-Jihad mailing list.

Although it is not possible, based on the posting alone, to attribute responsibility for the blasts to the group, it is likely that this is a credible post and that the Zarqawi-led Al Qaeda is in fact responsible for the attacks.

The near-simultaneous blasts certainly bear all of the hallmarks of an Al Qaeda operation.

The claim of responsibility includes the following statement: "We will announce the details of the battle at a later time".

This strongly suggests that one or more of the attacks were videotaped, and that we can expect the traditional celebratory video.

Translation of statement of responsibility from Al Qaeda for Amman attacks

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and our prayers and greetings to the imam of the Mujahideen, our prophet Mohamed, and to his family and his companions.

And then:

In these blessed days, we fight in the name of Tawhid (monotheism) and against the tyranny and the treachery of the disbelieving Crusaders in Mesopotamia, and who write the epics of glory in this time.

A group of our strongest lions from one of the battalions of al Qaeda, the Brigade of Al Bara’a Bin Malek, in defense of their religion and to spread the word of Monotheism, have opened a new battle against some of the dens that were planted in the land of the Muslims in Amman. After studying the targets, and completing our surveillance, we chose these hotels as the targets of this attack is because the Jordanian tyrant (reference to King Abdullah) had turned them into a backyard for the enemies of the faith, the Jews and for the apostate traitors, a safe haven for the intelligence services of the unbelievers, who run their conspiracy against Muslims from there. It is a center of prostitution and debauchery in the way against Allah and his Messenger.

Despite the security measures implemented by the tyrant and the tyrant’s son to protect these dens, the soldiers of Al Qaeda were able to arrive at their targets, and carry out the attacks, as was confirmed to us from the news sources. We will declare the details of the battle at a later time, God willing.

So let the tyrant of Amman know that the wall of protection for the Jews, which was built in East Jordan, and the backyard of the Crusader’s armies and the descendents of Ibn al Alqami, has become a target for the Mujhaideen and their attacks; he and his masters should expect the worst. the worst.

Allah Akbar! Allak Akbar! Honor be to Allah and to his Messenger and to the Mujahideen!

You gotta' love these muslim clowns. They have funnier, better names than the black street gangs did back in the 1970s and '80s. The "Brigade of Al Bara’a Bin Malek" is as rich as the "Black P Stone Nation" for outright comedy. Their "lions" demonstrate such bravery, such manliness, blowing up unarmed civilians in hotels and resorts...I'm impressed.

Is it possible she does not know? Can anyone be that ignorant?

If her only source of news is al Jazeerah, and the local Muslim newpapers, what can we expect? She's getting all the news they see fit to print. Sounds like our MSM before the advent of the 'new media'.

Here's hoping that regular, non fundamentalist, Muslims will get a belly full of the radicals and shut them down.

His point is that any religion that explicitly calls for the INITIATION of force in its sacred texts is invalid.

Anyway, regarding the Christian examples...

Crusades: Counterattack in a much larger and longer war.
Witch Burnings: If there really exist people who are cursing and killing others through dark magic, what would you do with them?
Abortion Clinic Bombings: Small number of people explicitly, clearly and loudly condemned by the overwhelming majority of their co-religionists. Abortion clinic bombing also can't be justified using the Gospels or the Catechism.

It does seem possible that this was a major tactical error. Even Al-reuters and the American press are having trouble justifying this attack and blaming it on Bush. Almost all the dead are Muslims, Jordan is a muslim country, and the terrosost rationale is that Americans and Jews stay at the hotels?

_____

I've seen some "hints" that the MSM is trying to link our "occupation" of Iraq as the reason for the bombings, since all the bombers were "Iraqi." Hence, "Bush's Fault."

I'm sure it's already on DU, which means it will be on CNN.

I think you're confusing Queen Raina with Queen Noor, the present King's stepmother, who IS an American. I believe Queen Raina is Middle Eastern, though I'm not sure of her nationality. She graduated from the American University in Cairo.

"His point is that any religion that explicitly calls for the INITIATION of force in its sacred texts is invalid."

Read the 3rd chapter of Deuteronomy lately? The Old Testament of the Bible, while Jewish in origin, is still read by Christians as a sacred text. But I guess if the Caananites followed evil, false gods it was okay to slaughter them and take their land.

As to the horrors of the 'Burning Times' (as today's neopagans like to call them) there's little historical doubt that a few hundred folks who actually believed themselves to be in league with you-know-who were running around Europe, along with a few tens of thousands of holdout pagans.
Millions died horribly, all in the name of God, including St. Joan herself.

1) Can't comment directly on the Old Testament part, but that's why I also mentioned the Catecism. Also, our information about the Caananites is rather limited. Maybe they were so corrupt that their society had to be crushed and you would agree if you were there. Societies like those formed by the Nazis didn't just exist in the 20th century you know. There was real hard-core baby-killing human-sacrifice stuff going on back then. If the Aztecs existed today, would you believe it was moral for them to keep capturing slaves from neighboring tribes and sacrificing them by the 1000's, or would you support an 'intervention and re-education program' by the U.S. Marines? Besides, when was the last time that any current Chrisitian used those passages to justify anything?

2) I agree that most of them were false accusations made by people who performed them because they were politically or personally convenient. The point was that Christianity isn't 'fundamentally' corrupt, since it clearly prohibits the bringing of false or unsupported accusations against absolutely anyone. Once the identification, enactment and enforcement of decent rules of evidence in court cases began, the witch trials dried up rather rapidly.

3) Check out the life of Mohammed, compare to the life of Christ. If the difference isn't obvious, then check out the differences in the expected norms of behavior towards kaffirs and Muslims in Islam. If you can't see the difference, then we have nothing to discuss.

its got nothing to do with religion. religion is just an excuse for these losers to kill.

Wrong! It has everything to do with their religion. Just read the koran it orders them to kill.

I respectfully disagree. After reading the rantings of their 'prophet' and the theatrics of his life, I believe it has everything to do with their 'religion'.

Maybe this will bring in some tips from Zakawhi's home turf, after all he was a small-time Jordanian thug before he found a bigger "cause"."

Which proves : A Thug is a Thug is a Thug.......

Well, sometime between last night's appearance on LKL and this morning the Noor got a message.""

Are you talking about the same woman? I think Noor is the wife of the king who died and was succeeded by Abdullah. The woman interview on GMA this AM was the wife of the new king, Abdullah. I'm not sure, but Noor might be his mother.
I also think Noor was a college student when the prior king fell in love with her and married her. She was born in America, if I am remembering this correctly.

Queen Noor is the wife of the deceased King.

I did not see the morning shows so perhaps it wasn't the same woman.

Yes the wife of Hussein is an American born arab.

Glad the wife of the young King is being tough. She is a Palestinian.
