Flight Attendant Fight Stalls Plane To Chicago

(CBS) A flight attendant fight Tuesday stalled a Chicago-bound plane for hours.

The flight was supposed to leave Memphis just after 2 p.m., but as Suzanne Le Mignot reports, a feud between employees forced the pilot to take drastic action before heading to Chicago.

“It seemed like a lot of fuss over nothing,” said Chip Romine, talking about the argument two Mesaba flight attendants had over his bag. “We were trying to put my bag in the overhead, and it was too big. One young lady came up and was trying to help me get it up, and the other lady came up and grabbed it and said, ‘I’ll take care of that.’”

Then the two flight attendants started to quarrel some more...

I could care less if the men want these pretty thin things waiting on them, but what I demand is at least a caring individual who occassionally smiles and at least feigns some interest in the people footing the bill...

A spokesperson for Mesaba says the company is looking into the incident and will determine what action will be taken against the two flight attendants.

Donald Trump could solve this conundrum in two words.

Not to excuse the behavior but less than a month ago Mesaba declared bankruptcy. Both these ladies may be dealing with drastic career changes soon and therefore a bit testy.

The drastic career changes will now have to be dealt with sooner rather than later. Won't look good on a resume, either.

I see either Hooters or professional mud wrestling in their futures.

I stalled in a little Piper Cherokee on my very first solo! I was in a right-hand pattern and the tower wouldn't shut up, so I jumped in as soon as I could, informing them I was making my base turn. They immediately started yelling "Get out of there now! F-16's on final!" So I turned around and climbed, but I was already on low power b/c I was set up for landing. I goosed the throttle right as it stalled and recovered thank God. So the very first time I piloted a plane alone, I just started flying over southwest Ohio aimlessly until the tower called me back. Quite fun.
