What a joke!
There must be a God...because there must be a hell for some of these cowards.

If it's about economics, why aren't the immigrant "youth" trying to leave France?

Clueless. Utterly clueless. Not only do they not realize or comprehend what has brought about the current situation, they actually think they can remedy it with more of the same.

Un-freaking-beleivable. I must confess it pains me to see my distant kinsmen commit suicide. So, we see Mssr. Chirac's bold new vision. How does this play out? When these measures are eagerly accepted then roundly condemned as inadequate by the moose-limbs, then what?
The question is: will France find a leader with some stones to throw these vermin out of France, or will the world map in 30 years show the caliphate of Francistan? on the shores of western Eurabia?

If it's about economics, why aren't the immigrant "youth" trying to leave France? Because then they might have to... *gasp!* find jobs. Why do that when they can just live on the welfare state and riot once every couple of years whenever the government money ebbs?

So's France. Did we honestly expect them to go with strength and bravery instead of appeasement?

No, but France is basicly setting the tone for western nations here. As France goes, the terrorist could reason, so will go the rest of them. This is going to affect more than France.
It is amazing to think that any adult(s) could reason what France is doing, is best under these conditions.

**Why do I fear another generation of Americans will have to storm the beaches of Normandy.**
It's one thing to save the French from the Nazis, quite another to save them from themselves. The difference is the same as rescuing someone from being destroyed, and rescuing someone from self-destruction.
