"THANK YOU AMERICA"I have the very good fortune to be working for a PR company hired by the Iraqi Kurds to help promote a media campaign that begins on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 here in the United States. Tomorrow is the launch of a TV ad campaign where the Iraqi Kurds say "Thank You" to America for liberating them from the oppressive regime of Saddam Hussein. Please watch the ads and post your thoughts.
"Thank You America" is the first of 3 ads that will run in the United States (beginning on Fox News Channel) and then thanking British and American troops in Europe and the Middle East.

They're nice ads but they left me sort of sad. Sad that the Kurds had to resort to spending the hard-earned cash to express their joy in their hard-won freedom. Sad that the mainstream media doesn't consider this news...

I even went so far as to learn that a new one can be cast in the very same foundry our Liberty Bell came from, for $10,000. I would question the quality one would get for that price.

Can we start an e-mail campaign to get these out to people?
The MSM will NEVER cover this because to thank "America" is to thank "Bush"........and that is anathema to the left.
These are just beautiful!

"CNN has rejected the ads for now."WTF- where did that come from?
Left-wing, barking moonbat media bias.
Game, set, and match.
So any claimants of "objective" journalism
among the MSM now have ample cause to be told
to ST*U !!

Sorry, didn't see your post earlier. I think #1 would be perceived as being condescending towards people in the area. It was more of a "thank you America for saving us". It is a wonderful and kind sentiment.
As we are both peoples of a democracy, we should look rather to taking care of ourselves. I rather look at it (note: I am American and you cannot be more of a Patriot than I) but if this area is going to move on towards their own sovereignty, they need to thank not only us but their own who have fought and suffered to help this nation. I'd love to see Iraq as strong as America but not as a foreign property of America. Yes, we have suffered and died. I doubt ours were buried in Iraq but I would find that a fitting honor for those who did. If I had died to create a new and sovereign nation, I would be honored to be buried on what I had started.
