Five cars in Berlin torched
Various | 07-11-2005 | Self

Posted on 11/07/2005 1:39:52 AM PST by 12B

"Five cars in Berlin torched" is bullet headline of well-known financial news provider with a mayor's name.

German N-TV showing video of burned-out autos and calls it a copy-cat action.

More when I get it.

i think 'the national socialist could rise again' is about as probable as 'the polar caps could freeze again'.

but then, it is probably hard to get more leftist than red - green so there might actually be a pull to the right now.

The party that soon gets the positions of the Defense Minister and Interior Minister has already proposed to use the armed forces for homeland security. When will the Reserves be called to duty and the 3 million G3/G36-rifles be handed out to the masses? Let´s roll!!

Well, this strange woman was wrong. Before the Nazis gained power, Germany counted ca. half a million Jews. After the war, it was around 5,000, and now we have ca. 105,000 and rising.

In Hamburg, things are normal. I don´t dare to say that Hamburg is a quiet city at night, so the term "normal" fits in. I expect that the security services can handle the situation, and if not, well, it´ll boost our CDU-position to use the military for purposes in the homeland. When our soldiers can provide security in Kabul or Prizren, why not in Berlin or Frankfurt? If this is getting ugly, I would feel better with a G36 in my hand - or why do we have millions of these military rifles in our depots?

Didn't I read yesterday that the "discontent" had already started in Denmark?

Go to the last reply here and work back- yes, it's metastasizing:

Hi Michael,

I did say I found the statement in bad taste, but I certainly CAN imagine the silence after she made it (whether she really meant it or not!)

> The Germans will not let it get as bad as it is in France, before severely cracking down on any insurrectionists.

I was just thinking that...let's see how the Krauts handle it. But don't forget many of them have been programmed into a Never-again mentality. Will they be brutal, or will they try to out do Chirac?

So now the terrorists are spreading their terrorism to other wishy washy countries. Shooting them on sight is the only way to stop this.

Why then is Prince Charles still around?

The Royals get an exception, otherwise the monarchy is doomed.

It won't take the German government, Berlin is full of native-born hard cases who won't wait for orders to get tough, especially in the former east districts.

I guess so! What a story.

> at the moment i think muslim riots in germany are not probable.

Are the Moslem "youth" of Germany as sullen and unemployed as their brethren in France?

Bunny, my French colleagues are saying the reason the Police don't shoot back is because it will lead to an escalation in tactics. They think that outside Islamist groups would start arming the locals.

That may be so, so what are they going to do, sit on their arse and say ok, you can have France as the newest Muslim Nation. Either way, non Muslims will die.

You are lucky - our glorified peacekeeping police, oops, military, is a joke. No one (at least those in the city) knows how to operate firearms here. I would say the only means of defence I have at home are two tennis rackets and four kitchen knives (one is a meat cleaver), and perhaps calling the police at 111, if things that are happening in Paris happen over here in Auckland.

The only consolation is that there seems to be far fewer than 10,000 Arabs or North African Muslims in NZ.

Ping! How about Australia?

The Germans would be fools to let this get out of hand. If they do, it would show that Europe is easy pickings.
