I love Tivo. I never miss the good stuff any more.

Ted Kennedy on MTP was as completely incoherent as I have ever seen him before. I couldn't believe that (A) the 'Rats still send him out to carry their "message"; and (B) that Teddy the Hutt walked right into the brick wall on National TV.

I am in awe of Tim Russert, and I congratulate him for bagging a full grown Hutt, in full charge, with one shot...

Okay, you guys, I'm going to tell you why I think this is much more meaningfull than than any thing I have to say. We all care about this wonderful country of ours and we are watching and we mean to keep it. Alas, I've said it before, but I used to watch these shows when they were less dishonest (but not much) and saw them turn into propaganda vehicles for the dem/socialist way of life and it was making me crazy and then you started this thread and it was like finding Rush Limbaugh right here on FR. I could go on, but that would bore ya'll to death. Eagles up. And let our military know how you feel. americasupportsyou.mil. Thanks, Jim Robinson.

Shush!

It's a scheme to get him to MN, and IN a ice fishing hut.

Although I still enjoy the vision of his 43 foot boat in one of our Colorado streams or rivers. Rivers! Hah!

Thanks, but please don't let it get out. We have too many people now as it is, and we're getting way too many people from CA these days.

I'm also tired of Rush Limbaugh. He seems to think that Reagan never did anything wrong, that he(Reagan was perfect).

He has stated Reagan was wrong about amnesty. Critiqued spending. Didn't confront Islamic terrorists as strongly as should have been done to name three. So, you are incorrect in your attempt to suggest Rush holds Reagan up as a diety.

Fly-fishing for bonefish has to be damn challenging. Wading the flats... trying to spot them and make a great presentation is no small feat. I don't have THAT much patience.

Down in FL, you 'gotta pull 'yer catch outta the water quick... any blood at all will draw sharks... bull sharks.

In Ponce de Leon Bay I saw something leap from the water that had to be 15ft. long. It was at least a thousand yards out so I couldn't say exactly what it was. All I know was that it was going for something on mangrove branch hanging over the water.

Gators will wander into open salt water every once in a while down there too.

To sum up---

A few alterations in communications would be helpful.

IMO, replace Scott with an Ari type. Charismatic, likeable, combative, quick witted, artful tongue. This has the benefit of putting the MSM on the defensive. The importance of this cannot be over stressed. A pack of infuriated defensive reporters typing out their reports is better than a self satisfied egomanical press core typing reports. The tone of their coverage shifts from offense to defense.

Second, make it clear to members in the Senate and in the House that a popular President (this one in particular) services their goals better than an unpopular President. Point to 2002 and 2004 gains as evidence. Therefore, inform they must start strongly combating Dem talking points, MSM bias and so forth. Appeal to their selfish survival instincts.

Third, return to the combative administration of 2002 and 2004. Accept this country cannot be united by one man, for reason that principles trump everything else. We're in the midst of an ideological war. It will not end until one side has been destroyed. Accept at 51% we're the majority, and govern accordingly with conservative leaning policies that stoke the conservative base and the conservative press.

Honestly, I think after five years people are a little rundown. We had a heated election campaign and usually off years are to relax, the Dems chose to keep running the 2004 campaign. This gave them lopsided advantage, but it isn't insurmountable. "Rejuvenation" is what's needed. Mood boosters. watching a few MSM pundits get their heads slammed by the administration. A Few wailing Dems on the Senate floor.

"Wolfie is taking a hammering by the British Defense Secretary, John Reid. I hope to read a transcript later. Wonder if CNN will bury it?

Reid strongly!!! defends the pre-war intelligence."

I saw that and he was great! Wolfie kept trying to trip him up and put words in his mouth and he'd say, with respect, that's not correct, blah, blah, blah. He's supposed to be in the US tomorrow (IIRC at the UN).

I didn't get to see McAwful and Gillespie, my guess is Wolfie let Terry do most of the talking. There's been a bit of a debate here today as to whether Bush needs to set the media straight or someone else (e.g., Pubbie pundits, etc.) need to. It would be very helpful if Gillespie and some of the other Pubbies that are on various talk shows would read FR - maybe they could get some talking points.

I remember watching Ann Lewis, Bugalia, et al during Bubba's problems. While I hated listening to them, I gave them credit for being able to get their side of the story (albeit primarily lies or spin) out. They were usually on point and made the same points. I think that's part of the Pubbies problem, they don't know and/or don't state all the relevant talking points and don't have appropriate rebuttals to the Dims. I don't think they necessarily need to get the Pubbies equivalent of the DNC talking points for the day, but they need to coordinate better and keep repeating the most pertinent lines. Many people in America are not news junkies like we are. They hear a few soundbites on the evening news and perhaps a few during Fox and Friends in the am or BOR and/or Hannity & Colmes at night - they need to hear the same message from the Pubbies. If the message is repeated a couple of times people will tend to remember it better. IMHO the Dims are good at this and the Reps aren't. Of course, the Dims have an advantage in that the MSM are helping them get their message out and repeat it, I just think the Pubbies could do better. The Pubbies would also come across better as they are usually more calm and civilized while the Dims look bitter and tend to screech and/or scream.
