All I can say is Wow!what a post, very eye opening SC!!
Great job!
I sometimes wonder if ignoring Wilson/Pflame as the lies they are, and going all out on exposing what Able Danger turned up would not be the answer.
What keeps our side from doing so? We(the new media) can counter MSM lies today. We couldn't during Nixon/Carter.

"Why is the WH acting like a punching bag and not fighting back against the charges that they lied us into war?"

Perhaps because we the people can't handle the truth. The facts show that Clinton was at odds with his own CIA & FBI, he didn't meet with the heads for long periods of time so his forays which put our troops into harms way in the 90s weren't based on bad intelligence.....

they were based on NO INTELLIGENCE!

There's something strange about this poll number thing on FNN.

Brit Hume clearly explained the polling method...way overpolling libs and so-called moderates (who are mostly Hagels) and underpolling Republicans. It was patently obvious that a fair poll would show Bush with about 50% approval rating.

Brit is the news director. I know he doesn't want to be a dictator, but why does he let the rest of his staff perpetuate these polling myths?

I agree. Maybe he'll do it when they're on Thanksgiving break, when the MSM will have to track them down on their vacations for a response.

A reporter in Argentina asked the President what he would do if he ran into Chavez. The President responded that he would be polite as that is what the American people expect of their President. I think that as well as the Plame investigation is why he hasn't responded much (standard response is that the SP has asked the WH not to comment and the investigation is still ongoing).

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I really wish he would replace McClellan - I think if he had someone in there that could be more forceful in their response to the MSM and call them on their lies and untruthful reports, it might help.

Maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part, but I'm hoping/wondering if the President isn't just letting the SP investigation play out as he knows that Fitz will find some things that won't be beneficial to the Dims and Wilson and a lot will come out in the end to make them (and perhaps member of the CIA) not look good.

What keeps our side from doing so?

I hope that the reason that our side doesnt hammer Able Danger, is because it is still ongoing in one form or another, and that this admin has a vested interest in keeping classified info just that-classified. The other side uses secret material for politcal uses. One would hope that our side uses it for defence, and national security, like it should be!

I just posted to my Dad that I love this thread every Sunday morning, but some of the stuff I read on it make my BP go up-which upsets my wife!

Three black SUVs roar up to the corner of 125th Street and Malcolm X Boulevard, in the heart of Harlem. People walking by stop and look. The car doors fly open, and men in suits jump out. Something is happening, but no one is sure what.

Maggie Williams, a longtime Clinton aide who is now his chief of staff - 2/15/2004 -

Maggie Williams: Formerly the first lady's chief of staff

Maggie Williams has spent much of her adult life in politics and communications- over the years, she has served as a congressional aide, a campaign press secretary, a management consultant and a Presidential staff assistant. She is best known as the chief of staff for Senator Hillary Clinton during her time as First Lady, and as the same for former President Clinton's New York City office, where she managed both the employees of the Clinton Foundation and thevPresident's personal staff. She also has had extensive involvement in the private sector - as President of Fenton Communications (Cindy Sheehan media advisers/MoveOn.org communications advisers, etc.), a media services firm, and as a private consultant to, among other clients, the Smithsonian Institution and Senator Clinton's 2000 campaign.

Two of the Arkansas gang were in Foster's office the night he died: Maggie Williams, the First Lady's chief of staff, known in Washington as "Hillary's Haldeman," and Patsy Thomasson, an important player in the Travelgate takeover. A uniformed Secret Service agent accompanying cleaning women on their rounds has testified that he saw Williams carrying "two arms full" of files from Foster's office that night.

MARGARET "MAGGIE" WILLIAMS most recently served as chief of staff to former president Bill Clinton managing both his foundation and his personal staff. Prior to joining the Clinton Foundation, Williams was president of Fenton Communications, a 37 person company specializing in delivering media and advertising services to nonprofit and advocacy organizations. From 1993-97, Williams served in the White House as one of seventeen assistants to President Clinton. During that period she also served as Chief of Staff to First Lady Hillary Clinton and was the first person to hold both positions concurrently.

In the course of a political and advocacy career spanning twenty-five years, Williams has held numerous positions including director of communications for the Children's Defense Fund, deputy director of media relations for the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, campaign press secretary for former senator Robert Torricelli, deputy press secretary of the Democratic National Committee and congressional aid to Morris Udall.

Williams has also worked as a private communications and management consultant; her clients included Scholastic Publishing Corp., the Smithsonian Institution, Hill and Knowlton-France, the National Black Women's Health Project, the Waterkeeper Alliance, Arts France-USA, the Modern Language Association and the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation.

Maggie Williams donated money to Craig Livingstone's legal defense fund.

Families USA is an organization that claims to be “the voice of the healthcare consumer.” Yet this non-profit organization has such close ties with the Democratic Party, it was called the “de facto public relations manager of the Clinton Administration's campaign for comprehensive health care legislation” by the New York Times. The organization also received over $300,000 from George Soros's Open Society Institute in 2002. Families USA has another connection to Fenton: Maggie Williams, who now serves as a board member for the health care group, is a former employee of Fenton Communications. Williams was a president at the PR firm in between her years working at the White House for Hillary Clinton and her current job leading the staff at Bill Clinton's Harlem office.

The "polls" and the long knives come out every time the president is out of the country.

It is a well-established pattern.

If I went back and checked, I bet Joe Wilson's op-ed was printed to coincide with a Presidential trip to Europe.

The media trash him when he is away, and then criticize him for not fighting back. When, in actual fact, he is representing the United States of America in foreign relations - a big part of his job description - and they NEVER want to shine any light on his activities in that sphere.
