Wonder why no one points out how the polling data was complied by dropping the %of Republicans polled into the 25% range, the Dems around 35% and "independents" around 40%. Wonder why no one asks the Dinosaurs "why do you no longer poll using the 40-40-20% structure the elections show is the REAL distribution and why do the poller no longer poll JUST "Likely voters"?

The answer is real simple they want to make sure they get the results they are getting, NOT the truth.

Snugs, Hillary is many things, most of them bad, but she didn't over indulge in clothing. Her black pantsuits went far beyond the call of duty.

Did I read that correctly? Huh?

Yes, Fareed Zakaria actually said Alito was over qualified for the Supreme Court...Actually, I don't think he realized what he was saying. It was pretty funny.

I too have heard that the whole Plame, Wilson, and Bush Lied©® thing might be part of an overall plan against the President, full of half truths and lies as part of some overall disinformation campaign run by leftists in the CIA....but.....

Wouldn't Bush and his administration also know? Are they sitting by letting this whole thing be orchestrated around them with nary an "I object"? I doubt it. Then again, the game of poker that Dubya plays allows for, no actually encourages one's opponent to overplay his hand, while saying nothing. Is this a game of poker Dubya's playing?

Possibly. It might be simply that the dems are spent and have no coherent overall strategy, or whatever they keep coming up with is not working.

We'll all see, I guess. Personally, I've worried about a whole lot of different things that the dems (and their allies, the MSM) seem to have had on Bush only to see those things continuously fail! Either the President and his team are really, really good, or God is watching out for them (and hopefully, us too). I tend to think it's both.

I love the constant braying about the polls. Abe Lincoln had bad polls. Harry Truman had bad polls. Bush seems to get his agenda accomplished despite his "bad" polls. Since he's not running again what difference can it make? Some say that the Congressional elections next year is what. However, the dems are furiously attacking Bush while ignoring the Republican incumbents they must beat in order to take control of Congress. Does that make strategic sense to you? The dems, along with their allies in the MSM, are all wind, blow and woe, but in the end, every storm sees Dubya still standing, and Republican strength, against all historic odds, growing in the Congress.

Let 'em wail. Next year they'll all be whining about how the Republicans stole the election again.

Do you think it's possible that the MSM could be hoping to use the current attacks on Bush as a vehicle to regain lost influence and stature?

I doubt I'm alone in believing there must be a more logical reason for the media to be siding with what are proven lies and distortions of the Bush record. The credibility of the press is so low that I have to think they are willing to do anyting to regain their lost power.

If the Has been media still had that much power then they would not have to pile on anything Republican especially the White House using a MOAB instead of a simple 45 Caliber Pistol. They throw everything and anything they can 24-7 instead of just reporting what is happening, they have to overkill because they are so limpwristed and full of themselves and their supposed ability to make people hate GWB. It would be very interesting to find out what Karl Rove told that hapless, clueless SP fitzgerald. I believe he told him that he was going to look like a horse's A$$ if he indicted on unprovable charges, and he may have said "Oh by the Way Mr. Fitzgerald you better be looking at Plame/wilson and the Turncoats in the CIa because Goss and the FBI are looking into treason and sedition etc". There had to be a reason that this Democrat Prosecutor with all their leaks saying that Cheney,Rose,Libby,Matalin,Etc were all toast and then he gets a crappy single indictment and drops the ball. Something is really strange here, and I think that Karl Rove does not look unhappy, and the Media/DNC are peeing their pants after they were so full of glee before last Friday. Something happened and it was right about the time Rove talked to Fitzgerald. they. I have a gut instinct about this.

Agreed. There are some local polling companies who are more responsible. In CO, we have Ciruli as an example.

From what I've seen over the years, these polls can be anything until the last one before the election. At that point they want it accurate so they can prove their accuracy which means they can continue selling their services.

I am just now going through the thread....and I, like you, was astonished that Fox would let Chris Wallace interview his father...but,

then I remembered that this is the November sweeps...I don't know if the sweeps pertain to Sunday morning programming or not...but during sweeps months, it seems that news stations do some of the stupidest "stunt programming", just to get numbers...

I would put this interview in that catagory..but I won't be watching when the replay is on this afternoon.

What I saw of the Sunday Morning Talks shows (Chris Wallace, Tim Russert and Matthews) they were acting like the Bush administration is in BIG trouble.

In their dreams! We are going to keep kicking their booty till the realize they are the ones in trouble not us!

Have family emergency. But some thoughts. Back next week.

Some Un-connected Dots

*** Libby lawyered for Marc Rich earlier days (nothing wrong with that & he himself testified in house hearing while others took 5th). NY attorney Mary Jo White investigated it & went nowhere. The prosecutor assisted her is none other than Fitzgerald.

*** Floyd Abrams is NYTimes attorney who helped Judith Miller while refusing testimony thereby averting an October surprise before election per admission of Fitzgerald. His son is Dan Abrams, MSNBC anchor. Elliot Abrams is cousin of Dan Abrams - described as a NEOCON and friend of Cheneys & Bushes.

*** Pete Williams, who is one of the 2 intelligent questioners in Fitz press conf. (so case is basically he said, they said) worked as congressional correspondent when Cheney was in Congress. Then, when Cheney was Defense Sec., Pete Williams again chief Pentagon correspondent & Cheney favorite. When Pentagon was looking for Victoria Clarke replacement, Pete Williams name was widely speculated. There is more - Pete Williams home state is none-other than W Y O M I N G.

*** Campbell Brown became Lynne Cheney's favorite. In 2003, She was down with some family probs, after-a-while she cut her birthday cake at Cheney's house with Mary Madalin's help. In this year's beginning, she interviewed Lynne Cheney for the full hour (friendly & respectful) subbing for Mathews.

*** A senior reporter who worked under Tim Russert expressing doubts

*** "Moles" allover - RIGHT? (known & unknown)

*** Russert says he knew nothing about Plame before leak. But Mrs.Greenspan ADMITTED on CNBC in the now discontinued "Capitol Report" show with WSJ's now Wash.Mg.Editor Allan Murray that "REPORTERS" knew this all along. BTW, President is giving medal of freedom award for Mr.Greenspan this week. Also, defense attorney said that they will question the "credibility" of reporters during the trial.

*** When reporters were called to testify, 20 media agencies (NYTimes, Wash.Post, NBC, ABC, CBS,Fox) all filed a brief to court "INSISTING" that NO CRIME was committed as Plame was outed years before. *** Judith Miller is reurning to NYTimes monday despite colleagues opposition. She is keynote speaker in NY in the soon to be launched "Pajamas Media" (strong conservative bloggers).

*** Calls from WH are secure & encrypted - CAN'T BE RECORDED.

Take heart! It's not all about your friend & his boss....

The McLaughlin Group on public television just spent an entire segment on Charles & Camilla's tour. Their conclusion is that the trip is a success....of course they had to toss in a jibe that the only world figure less popular than the Prince is GWB.

Another point is that GWB when asked about the Fitzgerald Investigation keeps saying how important this investigation is, and gives it kind of thumbs up. He could just say lets wait for the outcome, but he does not and that is strange. We need to wonder what the heck Porter Goss has been finding out about the turncoats that he already fired or forced to leave and the ones that are still there they he is looking to permanently furlough.

Thank you, I just send Senator Roberts this e-mail:

Dear Senator Roberts

I would like to thank you very much for standing up to the Democrat party disgraceful lies for accusing the White House of manipulating intelligence reports for going to war in Iraq. Thank you for exposing their lies and their hypocrisy since they have seen the same intelligence, agreed on it, they also supported this same intelligence during the Clinton administration, advocated then to remove Iraq WMD including the use of force, and most importantly they voted to go to war in Iraq in 2002 based on this same intelligence reports.

Again thank you for doing what is right for our nation and please keep the great work.

Sincerely yours;
