I wasn't listening very closely - now UpChuck on.

Too bad they didn't have Allen on opposed to him. Last week when he started with this nonsense Sen Allen laughed and said he doubted the WH should be taking advice from Schumer.

"Coburn and Roberts are only two worth hearing!"

Roberts is good! But I just heard breaking news from Kennedy ---- Just heard Kennedy say ---he has an open mind!

Meanwhile back at the ranch, DOD translators continue to sift through 10s of thousands of Iraqi intelligence documents found during the initial stages of the war...

Stay tuned.

Coburn is a Doctor (medical) from Oklahoma.

He is in his first Senate term. And he is making waves.

He critized both Dems and Pubbies about all the pork in recent bills. The Alaska Senator went to the floor and threatened to resign his seat if they removed his pork project (known as 'the bridge to nowhere').

Coburn went to Washington (as the movie Mr. Smith did) wanting to make a difference. It will be interesting to see whether he makes much progress or ends up being corrupted, as so many others have, by the Washington culture.

I guess that's what is meant by saying Bush is playing 'rope-a-dope' with them. Given enough rope, and the left hangs themselves in front of the voters.

Thank you!

That helps alot. I heard Herman Cain say yesterday that he thinks if he had been elected (Herman lost to Isakson int Repub primaries here in GA) that he and Coburn would be great friends and work well together... I love Herman so I knew I had to find out more about Coburn...

The MSM wants to repeat 1973. The only thing is that people hate them but they don't know it. That's whey Bush has to pick a fight with the MSM. He needs to call them partisan hacks.

I have heard it said in many conservative pieces, blogs, forums, etc. that an Administration has to be careful about what it says so that it doesn't alienate the MSM. HUH? You think the MSM has written ONE, I say ONE, piece without it's RAT BIAS. I say let's rumble GWB!!!

Is my memory right in thinking Coburn won in OK 'without' Bush and the White House helping them?

Their numbers fall, but their influence does not.

You know, its like people saying the hate negative ads during campaigns.

But those ads work everytime.

After a decade of bi#ching, my patience has run out, completely.

Our soldiers are now paying a price for us letting anti-american leftists run this country.

Coburn is on a self-imposed term limitation. Not likely that D.C. can pollute the man. If his opponents (Bob Anthony & Kirk Humphries and DUmocrat Brad Carson) had won, they'd be corrupted on the first day!

Little or ZERO help from GOP or D.C. (he was drafted after GOP supported Humphries and Anthony).

The attack machine against Coburn was unbelievable. I think people on both sides worked against him.

The people prevailed tho.

impromptu Jimmy Buffet concert in KW. The guy can sing but he's stuck on stupid politically.

Yeah, but at least he keeps his political bent out of his concerts, unlike some other idiots.

When questioned about his political fund raising in an interview after his Fenway show he was quoted something to the effect of "people come to my shows to get away from all that stuff". At least he adheres to Laura's "Shut Up and Sing".

Failing any other explanation, I still believe his witch doctor dance at the Fenway show broke the Red Sox curse, so I've got that to thank him for, along with untold hours of fun, happy music.

Hey, I've read he's into fishing. Build him a "Jimmy signature series fly rod", bring him back from the dark side.

asked her if the senator thought that since his own wife was in charge of transporation in NYC and people were killed and many maimed on the ferry, didnt' he think his wife should be held accountable and be fired.

Good for you! After the young gal stopped sputtering, what did she reply?

Wolfie is taking a hammering by the British Defense Secretary, John Reid. I hope to read a transcript later. Wonder if CNN will bury it?

Reid strongly!!! defends the pre-war intelligence.

These modern libs are trying to "remake" Watergate. We know that "remakes" are rarely the successes that the originals were. The libs are living in the past and in denial. Not a strategy for success.

It may not work this time, because I for one, do not believe either GWB or his Administration has done one thing illegal. Nixon perhaps thought he was above the law. Even though I supported Nixon to the very bitter end, it eventually came down to him lying and trying to coverup some illegal activity. GWB has done nothing illegal that we know of - he is being attacked on LIES, LIES and more LIES from the Lying LEFT. They all supported that Saddam was a bad guy and Clintoon had a policy of regime change, but now everything and everybody on the left has done a 180 because their playbook it so "get GWB" as a payback for trying to take out the CLINTOON.

Not Bush's job, Of course it is. He and his administration are under attack. It's up to them to fight back.

Nonsense. Like waggling his finger at the camera and saying "i did not..." A President "fighting back" sounds to the bulk of the American people like he is trying to hide something.

I know this upsets the 100%ers, but Bush is President of the WHOLE USA, not just the Conservative movement. I know you all think Bush should act like Clinton and use his office as a platform to attack his foes. What you all don't seem to realize is that Clinton completely disgraced himself by doing that. Bush, like the pre Clinon Presidents, has a higher level of respect for the office. Reagan never went out and slammed his foes, contrary to the 100%ers mythology about him, his zingers were more rhetorical, not personal. Wanting Bush to act like a radio talk show host and "fight back" may make the 100%ers feel good, it is NOT good politics.
