The President needs to finally own up to the fact that this confrontation will degenerate into a Vietnam-like quagmire. The facts at this point are unmistakeable, and the body count is rising. Whether the bodies are sub-compacts, coupes or sedans, the number of cars killed rises nightly, as Mr Chirac seems to be out of touch with the wishes of the people.
People around the world are revolted at the carnage. What will it take until the French finally understand that the war is lost, and pull out of France? As usual in cases like this the President has finally secumbed to the pressure and agreed to an investigation. What did the Parisians know...and when did they know it? Surely the condition of the unfortunate among them was known to all, well before the dikes finally failed, but the tax levies were shamefully underfunded anyway.
Tonight three more Citroens were brutally murdered in a walk-by bombing. Sure, the local authorities claim that the training of French soldiers was proceeding at a furious pace, with classrom work often extending far into the morning and once held over into lunch. The criticisms that the battalions produced are worthless without American backing is, in the words of the French commander, "...a disappointing lie that produces great pain in the recruits...".
No doubt exists any longer that the repression now taking place under the soft suede boot of the French policeman is creating more Islamic extremists, at a faster rate, than can be harshly condemned and deplored. Rumors are arising that several of these Islamic freedom fighters have been taken to special prisons and subjected to looped Michael Moore interviews for hours on end. "My God," one of the local human rights activists muttered in horror, "If the American press learns of these atrocities at our hands, how will we ever be able to sneer again?"
Back across the ocean in the land of the Great Satan, Senator Durbin, one of the few heroes of Lafayette, was quoted as saying, "What difference does it make if Bush can't be reelected? The rest of us can't either, now. And we can't even seek exile in Frogland, now. What's a quisling to do?"
We in the Press Magnifique can now only watch in horror as the careful edifice of appeasement crumbles like a souffle in the surf. Who's to blame?
Oui are.

Relative novice to the Free Republic forum.
I have to admit I almost didnt get past the first sentence without screaming Troll, luckily with patience and perseverence I read further on.
Allez, vous troll! LOL!
Oh, did you come up with of this all by yourself, or were you told how to think?
Please provide documented evidence to support your side of the argument, and we will be more than happy to listen to you.
So far, the United States military has achieved a victory in every measurable aspect, beyond our best expectations.
Those of us that understand the factual information, could not ask anything more.
Predictable, but funny nevertheless =)
Very clever. Thanks, and welcome.
SORRY!
Funny post! Thanks for the laugh.
ROTF....: )
Before screaming "troll" or "Zot", make sure you read the WHOLE thing.
Luckily, I read past the first paragraph.
Peace with humor..
If he does, will you really read it? ;)
This (what is transpiring in France) is an insurgency, you know.
LOL! I almost didn't read past the first line either! Glad I did!
Their main problem is that no one will take them after they get out.
Humor with honor? Oh wait...france. Geez.
