French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy said Thursday that the riots in several Paris suburbs over the previous night were "not spontaneous" but rather "well organized."
"What we saw in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis overnight was not spontaneous, it was perfectly organized. We are looking into by whom and how," Sarkozy told French news channel i-tele.
The interior minister also said the government would not allow "troublemakers, a bunch of hoodlums, think they can do whatever they want" in the country.
A force of 1,000 police were assigned late Thursday to Seine-Saint-Denis, following the previous night of violence which affected about half of the 40 towns in the department, mostly communities of immigrants from Africa, officials said.
It has everything to do with Islam. Drug dealing and crime is how the radicals get their financing

Its unfortunate. The French will never grow up. The Eastern Block has realized the heap that socialism is, Germany looks like they are starting to see the light as well, but the French never will. Fortunately in the US, the left seems to be dying out. How many seats have they lost over the past few years?? The sounds of liberals screaming is the sound of communism dying!!

I would say that I was always fairly conservative since I was little and didn't know it (I can remember when I was young, asking my Dad why we have to give money we made to the govt. Any the first year of my undergrad, I made a bleeding heart prof get teary-eyed during class because of my views on poverty and the best way to help. Help NOT being wealth redistribution).
After 9-11 I started paying more attention to things going on, i.e. mainly the media, and got swept to the left briefly. Any more, their coverage of anything political is just disgusting.
