I'm pretty sure they are using full house .357 Sigs with frangible bullets. My only serious objection to the .357 Sig is the noise. I think that durn thing is too L-O-U-D. I think the level of noise induces a sort of built in flinch unless one trains very hard to overcome that problem. Of course that's all the FAM's really do is to train. I myself would much prefer a 45 MagSafe or Glaser (silver) in that situation. But that's just me. lol

I do love the snow. :-)<<<<<
Snow: God's attempt to cover the ugly in the world, with pure virgin white snow, and cause it to be beautiful again.
Oh, that's sad.
Really sad.

BELLEVUE MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO VIOLATING ARMS EXPORT ACT
Suspect illegally exported night vision goggles to Taiwan - Co-conspirator sent them to China
SEATTLE A Bellevue man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Seattle today to charges that he illegally exported night vision goggles and camera lenses to Taiwan. The military equipment was ultimately shipped to the Peoples Republic of China.
Howard Hsy, 69, was charged with violating the terms of the Arms Export Control Act as a result of a joint investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Investigators say that during 2002 and 2003, Hsy conspired with others to export night vision goggles and camera lenses to a contact in Taiwan. The equipment in question is primarily used by military pilots to fly and navigate at night. Exporting these items requires a license and written approval from the U.S. State Department, which Hsy did not have.
Documents filed in the case reveal that Hsy was approached by an unnamed co-conspirator in Taiwan who asked Hsy to acquire the following military items: Imaging Systems F4949 Generation III night-vision goggles; HGV 55/P Helmet Mount Assemblies; and Nightmate CCTV Adapter Generation III night-vision camera lenses. Hsy, Donald Shull, and a third Seattle area co-conspirator purchased the items through a front company they had in Auburn, Washington. Over the course of about 18 months, the items were purchased and delivered to the co-conspirator in Taiwan. On two occasions, the co-conspirator in Taiwan came to Seattle to pick-up the goods. Hsy personally carried the goods to Taiwan on the third and final delivery. Hsy and Shull later learned that the Taiwan co-conspirator had shipped the military items to China.
Shull, who pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Violate the Export Administration Act in October, will be sentenced February 17, 2006. Hsys sentencing is set for February 23, 2006 before U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Zilly. Hsy faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Hospitals may help spread flu pandemic
By Maggie Fox, Health and Science Correspondent Thu Dec 8, 5:17 PM ET
"Many reports have shown that hospitals can be a source for spreading such diseases, because health care workers fail to follow even basic hygiene practices such as washing their hands after touching any patient or piece of equipment."

Yes, I have noticed all the out breaks of strange diseases in the hospitals.
Could some of them be the illegals, who are not educated in the same degree of cleanliness?
Yes, they hire them. Cheap labor.

Mysterious sweet smell returns to Manhattan, without explanation
The Sweet Smell came back.
Call it molasses- or maple syrup-like, the mysterious fragrance that confounded the noses of perhaps thousands of New Yorkers seven weeks ago returned to several spots in Manhattan Thursday.
Once again, no one knew what it was.

Before 9/11, Warnings on Bin Laden
nytimes ^ | December 9, 2005 | SCOTT SHANE

WASHINGTON, Dec. 8 - More than three years before the Sept. 11,
2001, terrorist attacks, American diplomats warned Saudi officials that
Osama bin Laden might target civilian aircraft, according to a newly
declassified State Department cable.
The cable was one of two documents released Thursday by the
National Security Archive, a research organization at George
Washington University that obtained them under the Freedom of
Information Act. The other was a memorandum written five days after
the 2001 attacks by George J. Tenet, then director of central
intelligence, to his top deputies, titled "We're at War."
The June 1998 cable reported to Washington that three American
officials, the State Department's regional security officer, an
economics officer and an aviation specialist had met Saudi officials at
King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to pass along a warning
based on an interview Mr. bin Laden, the Saudi-born leader of Al
Qaeda, had just given to ABC News.
They said he had threatened in the interview to strike in the next "few
weeks" against "military passenger aircraft," mentioning
surface-to-air missiles. The cable said there was "no specific
information that indicates bin Laden is targeting civilian aircraft," but
added, "We could not rule out that a terrorist might take the course of
least resistance and turn to a civilian target."
Part of the Tenet memo had been reported previously in Bob
Woodward's 2002 book, "Bush At War." The eight-paragraph Tenet
letter was a call to arms, declaring "a worldwide war against Al Qaeda
and other terrorist organizations" and saying that the effort would
require "our absolute and total dedication."

That is hard to understand.
So many strange smell reports, is it that we are looking for them, or are they new.......tests?
