OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Two more suspects have been arrested in connection with attacks on two West Oakland liquor stores, police announced Thursday.

Yasir Hakeem Azzem, 19, and Kahlil Ali Raheem, 24, were arrested Wednesday for their alleged involvement in Nov. 23 attacks on the New York Market and San Pablo Liquor Store, authorities said. A group of about 11 black men dressed in dark suits and bow ties were seen smashing liquor bottles and toppling food racks while demanding that both stores stop selling alcohol to black people.

A plea hearing scheduled for Thursday in Alameda County Superior Court for two suspects arrested previously was postponed following word of the new arrests.

Yusuf Bey IV, 19 - the son of Yusef Bey, founder of Your Black Muslim Bakery in Oakland - and Donald Eugene Cunningham, 73, are scheduled to enter pleas Jan. 12 to charges of felony hate crime, vandalism and false imprisonment, said Deputy District Attorney Casey Bates.

Lorna Brown, who represents Bey, and Kevin Taguchi, who represents Cunningham, said they asked for the plea hearing to be postponed so their cases can be consolidated with those of Azzem and Raheem.

Bey is free on $90,000 bail, and Cunningham is free on $140,000 bail.
