I thought that info about Tamiflu quite significant. I know a number of people who have bought Tamiflu and of course no one knows about that.
"We recommend against dismissiveness. "
Thanks, Cindy.
I agree with their assessment.
We must not become complacent. There is too much at stake.
For the record, I've asked that the excerpted CFR post be deleted if there is any copyright infringement.
That's fine.
We absolutely do not want to violate any copyrights.
Yep, we agree.
Here you go Granny, this is what I remember:
Zarqawi will one day learn "what you do comes back on you." What a despicable waste of human life.
United Jet Makes Emergency Landing In Sacramento
Pilot Reports Bird Strike Shortly After Takeoff
http://www.kcra.com/news/5402775/detail.html
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A bird strike forced a United Airlines flight to make an emergency landing just after takeoff from Sacramento International Airport Thursday.
United flight 502 was headed for Denver but had to turn back after the jet's nose cone was dented in a collision with a bird.
The pilot made an emergency landing fearing the bird may have also damaged an engine.
More of that mentality and less and less dependency on newspaper, radio, TV and magazine sources for our news. Those in the know - know not to trust those sources. The internet trounces them and they know it! It's sour grapes on their behalf. No one likes to see/hear/read losers whining...(smiling). When he says It's not news," he makes an assumption and we all know that they say about people who make assumptions..
OAKLAND, Calif. -- Two liquor stores in Oakland were trashed by about a dozen men wearing suits and bow ties, police said.

Just saw the video on the news. The picture linked above does not show the extent of the trashing. The stores were destroyed.
A similar principal applies to most antibiotics. That is why you are instructed to take the entire prescription as scheduled...even if you feel better before all of the prescription is consumed. Subclinical doses will just weed out the bacteria that are very sensitive. The rebound from the less sensitive population may not respond to that antibiotic at all.
Tamiflu distributed in Japan contains additional warnings about the possiblity of hallucinations as a side effect. Two Japanese teens who took Tamiflu committed suicide. It might be worthwhile to notify a trusted individual before taking a dose of Tamiflu in case you are one of the unlucky parties that experiences hallucinations as a consequence.
Just saw a pic of the nose cone dent on another channel. That had to be some kind of giant round bird!
DITTO and hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving MamaDearest.

"Well Dressed Men Trash Oakland Liquor Stores
Police Ordering Extra Patrols"
POSTED: 3:23 pm PST November 25, 2005

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "OAKLAND, Calif. -- Two liquor stores in Oakland were trashed by about a dozen men wearing suits and bow ties, police said."
ARTICLE SNIPPET #2: "Investigators are looking into the incidents as hate crimes because most of the businesses are owned by Arabs or Arab-Americans, and the suspects are telling them not to sell liquor to black people, Jordan said."
I too would suspect that the bird flu has killed 300 in China.
Bean sprouts recalled after salmonella outbreak
Snip: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has ordered a province-wide recall of all mung bean sprout products distributed by a Toronto-based manufacturer after a salmonella outbreak affecting hundreds was linked to the popular vegetable.
The recall order on mung bean sprouts distributed by Toronto Sun Wah Trading, Inc. (also known as Hollend Enterprises, Inc.) was issued late last night after 15 Kingston residents developed salmonella poisoning after eating mung bean sprouts - a vegetable found in everything from Chinese food to deli sandwiches.
Feds arrest Islamic religious leader
Snip: Damra is being held in Detroit by federal authorities. A bond hearing is expected to take place next week before an immigration judge in Detroit. The immigration office will request that Damra be detained, Moskowitz said.
The Palestinian-born Damra, who is the imam, or spiritual leader, at the Islamic Center of Cleveland, immigrated to the United States in the mid-1980s.
Snippets: Increased outsourcing. Nine of the nation's largest airlines, many of which handled the bulk of their maintenance work in-house for years, farmed out an average 54% to outsiders last year. About 4,500 of these third-party repair stations are located in the USA; 676 are overseas, in places as far-flung as El Salvador and China.
In a 2003 study, Mead's office found the FAA had not shifted its focus "to where the maintenance was actually performed" - at outside repair shops. For example, inspectors for a carrier that outsourced nearly half its maintenance did 400 inspections in-house, but only seven at the outside repair stations.
Border Patrol tightens Catch & Release Program
Snip: Under the new rules, Border Patrol agents near the frontier with Mexico will detain illegal entrants from countries other than Mexico, so-called OTMs, and hold them until their court hearing. Mexicans are routinely sent right back across the border.
In recent months Border Patrol agents have seen a dramatic increase in OTM crossings, especially along the border here in Texas. Most of the OTM illegal immigrants would simply sit down and await processing by the Border Patrol after crossing over the Rio Grande river, which forms the boundary between Texas and Mexico. They would then be issued a notice to appear in court, but most moved on to take jobs in cities far from the border and never showed up for their court hearing.
Under the new rules, these illegal aliens will be detained until they can be processed, unless they make it 100 miles, 160 kilometers, north of the border. In that case, they will be released with the notice to appear in court.
Snip: During an interview at the Pahrump Valley Times, Gibbons - a Republican - said the most important issue at this time for Nevada and the United States is national security. "The security of our nation is directly tied in with the immigration issue," she said. "Illegal immigration is rampant and dangerous. Undocumented aliens in our hospitals and schools drain our social services. Millions of dollars are spent each year in Nevada serving undocumented aliens."
However, the candidate said the cost isn't her biggest concern. "The government has failed to do their job to protect us," she said. "It is estimated that this year alone, 4,000 undocumented aliens from countries of interest, like Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan, will enter the U.S.," Gibbons said.
"It is incumbent upon every one of us, as American citizens, to stay on watch because those terrorists are in our midst. Don't forget that most of the terrorists were in Las Vegas just days before the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks."
Country's interior wages fight against illegal aliens
Snip: In southwest Ohio's Butler County, some leaders want state legislation that would make it a state crime of trespass to be here illegally and would allow local authorities to boot illegal aliens out of the state. The sheriff has challenged federal authorities by sending them a bill for undocumented immigrant inmates and erected large yellow signs outside the jail announcing: "Illegal Aliens Here."
In Arkansas, the Legislature wants police to get training in immigration enforcement. One county in Idaho has filed a federal racketeering suit against four companies accused of employing illegal immigrants. Lawmakers in North Carolina are pushing to make it tougher for illegal aliens to get driver's licenses, and in Virginia, some politicians want to cut off all benefits for illegals.
I did hear it talked about on the radio, the suggestion was given that if he had made that report, he could be barred from China.
Thanks on the tagline, guess Mama May, a dear friend of
50 years ago, was sending it to me.
She would say "Did you pray?", of course I had, her comeback was "But did you shut up and listen for God to reply?"
Thanks for the link on the Tresher, sounds like it was the one that I was thinking of.
KFI radio, had a news alert at 7:23, that said another police officer had been shot in Ontario, California.
