POTENTIAL HOT SPOTS: France Is Burning

Items About Areas That Could Break Out Into War

November 1, 2005: France is burning. For most of the last week, there have been nasty riots in the Parisian suburb of St Denis, complete with fires and many casualties. This area is home to about 500,000 Moslems. Many largely Moslem suburbs of Paris, and other large cities, have become no-go zones for the police, and anyone who is not of Middle Eastern origin. Over the last three decades, generous social benefits and immigration policies have left France with a Moslem population of some five million (about eight percent of the population.) High rise housing for them was built on the outskirts of major cities. Most of these Moslems did not try to assimilate, and by maintaining their old country culture and language, they made it more difficult for their kids to get jobs. Among the old school customs practiced is attacking, and even murdering, girls who do not conform to a "Moslem" style of behavior. While jobs may be lacking, crime and social welfare payments are not. So peop! le can live without jobs, and make a little extra with some crime on the side. But when you have a lot of people participating in, or just condoning, criminal behavior, you have a very dangerous place for outsiders. Officially, the government condemns this sort of "profiling," but a look at crime statistics shows that high rates of robbery, murder and rape tend to coincide with Moslem areas. There are unofficial maps on the Internet, where French citizens can check about where not to get lost the next time they go for a drive.

Meanwhile, the high crime rates in the Moslem neighborhoods has been spilling over into non-Moslem areas, and there has been a major outbreak of anti-Semitic attacks on Jews, and Jewish targets (synagogues, cemeteries, Etc.). It's not only become embarrassing for the government, but it's become a political issue. So the Interior Ministry has established special police units to try and reduce the crime rate in the Moslem areas. That has led to the recent rioting, arson, injuries, and advice by French traditionalists to just ignore the French Moslems. Leave them alone. Ignore them. Just like France has been doing for decades. Let the counter-terrorism police take care of any hotheads. But for the moment, the Interior Ministry is run by law-and-order types, and they are determined to at least own the streets in Moslem areas. So France burns.

Pfft. The problem will be dealt with long before the numbers reach 24%. And there is no magic number of demarcation. Influence does not equate to control. The poster was claiming that France will become an Islamic republic with Islamicists controlling the nukes. Nonsense, it will never come to that, it would take a hell of a lot more than 24% of influence to subject a country whose residents can vote to something as draconian as Sharia Law. We aren't talking about headscarf or welfare legislation.

France still has immigration rules and regulations. Not everyone who enters is issued a French passport or residency visa. Let's call them undocumented aliens if you have a problem with the word illegal.

We have about 3 or 3.5 million Muslims in the US. When the riots start here it will make France look like a bunch of beginners.

This will NOT happen to America and to make such a claim is stupid.

I don't have a problem with illegal, but the last time I was in France, they just glanced (and it took all of about 2 seconds) at my passport and said welcome now move on........

We will need a hard-core guy in 2008 who will stand up to the Muslim people and tell them where to head before we also become like France. Condoleeza doesn't have it, Hillary will sell us to them faster than a drug dealer to a coke addict, and so far Rudy is the man who tore up the Arab check and said NO THANKS - see ya! I'm waiting to see if a good republican will stand up and say we need to draw the line on Muslims, Mosques, Islamic Schools in America!

The Irony. France is the epitome of a country that prides itself on culture which vigorously combats any intrusion on its national flavor (such as McDonalds)is at risk of being subverted and destroyed from within, and with its own approval.

They already control local courts and police departments, sharia law is a reality in areas.

"Nonsense, it will never come to that, it would take a hell of a lot more than 24% of influence to subject a country whose residents can vote to something as draconian as Sharia Law."

Nobody's talking about voting, you can take a country with a hell of a lot fewer than 24% on your side. The Islamists won't pass legislation, they will implement what they wish by force.

What are the fertility rates of Arabs vs. white French? What percentage of Arabs there assimilate? No one really knows. The French government is no help because it doesn't collect racial or religious data, but we are a long way from knowing how bad these problems are.

"Nevertheless, some estimates suggest that one in three births in France occurs in a Muslim family. That would explain, among other things, why France has a much higher birth rate (about 1.7 children per woman)(Note: Now 1.9) than Spain or Italy. Stripped of this influence, the French birth rate would be around 1.2 children per woman, which is a figure similar to those in the countries of South and East Europe."

You are right that no one knows for sure. The same can be said about the number of illegal Mexicans in the US. However, we know there is a problem. It is like slowly boiling a frog in a pot. Little by little you increase the heat until the frog belatedly realizes that it is being boiled alive. The riots in Paris, the headscarve edict, anti-semitism, and the rise of people like Le Pen suggest that France has a major social problem. It will get worse before it gets better. Turning around demographics is not done in the short term. The die has been cast for generations to come.

The French have made a concerted effort to increase the birth rate. France plans to pay cash for more babies

There it is. The solution to sleeper cells.

>>For the moment, you allow yourself to believe that something will come up. Most likely, all those Muslims will simply convert. I mean, they do that, don't they, quite easily I'm told. Of course, why didn't I think of it, that is exactly what will happen. The situation is always saved in time. Just like during the war. Nothing to worry about. Nothing.<<

May I go to sleep now or must I stay alert forever? I know the Republican leadership will protect our borders and keep America safe, the same as the Democrats did before them. Are we safe and secure now?

If it was an American passport, there is no problem. The EU's Maastricht Treaty has enabled workers and travelers to move freely between signatory countries.

Ceding control to small enclaves is far different than ceding control over oneself. Last time I checked, we were in no danger of being overtaken by insurrection from Indian reservations.

Nobody's talking about voting, you can take a country with a hell of a lot fewer than 24% on your side. The Islamists won't pass legislation, they will implement what they wish by force.

They don't, and won't ever, control the military. Successful coup's require either a critical mass of popular or military support. Might be able to provoke a civil war, but will never be able to win, other than perhaps in a temporary battle.

The rise in Islamic numbers in France is not occurring in a vacuum, nor down a static trendline.

I don't see the US being any where near as vulnerable to Islamic domination. America does a much better job of assimilation.

Unfortunately, we in America are just as "enlightened"...

Yep. Look at New Orleans and Toledo over the past few months. What ever happened to "shoot to kill?"
