Per Fox News...
The RINOs have been the weakest link by FAR in our conservative majority, and it's time to deal with that. Cut them off if need be. They are a pox on conservativism and ALL of them need to be replaced. I believe within the next six years, most if not all of hte 11 democrat Senators in firm red States will be defeated or replaced after retirement by real conservative Republicans, and that seat increase for Republicans in the Senate will marginalize the importance of the seven RINOs, and really make it to where they could change parties and become democrats, and it truly would not matter. THAT is what we need to have. The RINOs have had FAR too much say in the consrvative movement than their numbers justify.
Excellent, Miss Marple! I concur.
Good morning onyx and Miss Marple. Very well stated, indeed. There's a lot of that going on here.
While I'm delighted with the President's nomination of Judge Alito, I'm permanently alienated from the uber Right types.
From your keyboard to God's eyes!
Of course, the Dems will do everything possible to avoid a resignation by one of the hardcore liberals on the SC. Wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, stimulants--anything to keep the oldest justices going until (the Dems hope) a Democrat is elected to the WH in 2008.
Alito and free speech

Wow. Looks even better with the gavel shading. Thanks for all the hard work.
SCOTUS = Supreme Court Of The United States
Hey I was there for a little while!
Right on. The more pressure on RINOs the better. The more the American people speak out against the RINOs the stronger the conservative majority gets. They have to be kept in line until they are replaced, or made irrelevant by more conservative southern seats are added with the defeat of those 11 solid red State democrats. And if on occation, cracking their heads is what it takes to keep them in line, then sobeit.
Specter WILL be on board. He's owned by President Bush. I don't worry about McCainiac or Hagel. They know they need to get with the PROGRAM or they'll get ZERO chance for any presidential ambition.
I just love all the revisionism going on here. Cboldt, it was just a week ago that you and many others were demanding right of first refusal on the President's judicial nominees. Or, to put it another way, you wanted to do the nominating and just have him follow along.
I didn't do any nominating. I didn't suggest Miers, and I didn't suggest Alito. All of my rhetoric followed the nomination made by the President. So your assertion above is flat out false.
What I did was express reasoned objection to the Miers nomination, as is my right. The bases for my objection are preserved in my posting history, and I suspect you are at least vaguely aware of them. My first objection is summarized at "Uncertainty," The Nominee.
Well, you got one of the names on the approved short list handed down from your high priests and priestesses. You're going to have the fight you all claim you wanted. But are you really going to fight or just sit around here on FR revising your own past actions?
The name, Alito, has been forwarde by the President. I support this nomination. I will be urging my Senators to support this nomination, even if faced with stiff opposition. If the opposiion forwards arguments against Alito, I will consider them, and if reasonable counterarguments can be formed, I'll do and express those rationale to my Senators as well.
"Revise my past actions?" Is that supposed to be some sort of insult? You sure haven't substantiated it.
It's an issue for me, but then I don't count. I'm just a Bushbot.
Your toxic posts deserve no response, not even this one.
Thank you thank you thank you, to all the elitists and sexists!!! Pres. Bush will thank you, too, as he looks back on his legacy in the years to come.
I sure hope we have a few.
You have an odd way of expressing things. I don't understand your statement, "And if we keep him on a pedestal, conservatism will never reach JFK levels, because JFK was more conservative than Bush." What JFK levels are you talking about and why would it be a goal of conservatism to reach them? In what regard was JFK "more conservative than GWB?"
Yeah putting the squeeze on the 11 firm red State dem Senators is important too. They are in a bad spot so all conservtives need to make that very clear to them. 8)
I'm not sure what "uber right types" are, but it seems me that the posters who were hysterical about the Miers nomination seem to be more reserved in victory.
Maybe because the hysterical right hasn't won anything in such a long time.
