Link: Religious beliefs trump hurricane relief.
Hurricane victims who wanted water had some difficulty finding it at a relief station in Clewiston Friday. The volunteer group running a supply center doesn't like the company that donated the water, so they decided not to give it to those in line for help.
Twenty-two pallets of the canned water, distributed free by beer company Anheuser-Busch, bears the company's label and members of the Southern Baptist Convention refused to hand it out to those in need.

From the article: "While the SBC is standing its ground, the Red Cross says water is water and they're now handing out the supplies."
In related news, members of the local St. Patrick's RC parish refused to drink the offered bottles when they learned they did not contain Bud ;-)
who needs enemies with friends like that....
If true, kind of idiotic for the SBC.
LOL
These people need to ask themselves...WWJD?
If you take one, he'll drink all the beer.
Hmmm, Jesus turned water to wine to celebrate a wedding, but the SBC will not give water with a Brewer's label on it to those that are thirsty - help me, I'm confused.......
Is this typical MSM slant?
If it's the truth, is it slant?
Verily. Jesus wasn't a teetotaler.
So is this story slanted or the facts shaded a bit? This is common practice in the liberal press, you do know that? Especially when it comes to Christianity.
According to:
http://www.nbc-2.com/articles/readarticle.asp?articleid=4747&z=3&p=
... the Baptists were *INDEED* handing out the water. But of course, the station doing the report (as well as many on FR) are poised to distain Christians and assume the worst about them....
Yes, it's a slanted article. Many facts missing, including the one that shows that the Baptists were indeed handing out the water.
Here's a question -- were people going *without* water because the Baptists weren't giving the Busch water to them? Were there, for example, cases of Dasani being handed out?
That was TWO people handing out water later.
Meanwhile, "the SBC is standing its ground."
