Bear in mind, these indictments have almsot nothing to do with Wilson/Plame/CIA. Libby's accused of lying about what he and reporters did or didn't discuss about the topic in general. That's it. Unless the indictment is amended or expanded at some future date, the prosecution will not involve whether Plame was improperly outed or not.

If all Republicans are on the ball, they will compare what Hillary got away with that wasn't charged in the Travel Office scandal and compare to others how she got a pass for real stuff and this guy gets slammed for nothing.

Hi sleuth. Just got home and watched Fat Chris in his glorious moment. He summarized Scooter's debacle by saying 'either he comes across with the real story or gets five years hard time'. In other words Matthews is already adding up the years for Scooter.
Brokaw was on the show as well and was asked if the evangelicals had a candidate yet. Ask me and I would have said George Allen but Brokaw said, in no uncertain terms, no. Methinks he may be a bit afraid of Allen.and he should be!!

When Shep Smith and everyone on CNN beat his pathetic talk show, it's time for him to hang it up. Either that or change the name to "Droolball".

Remember the old Clinton days, how they had their people out there every night fighting hard for that pond scum and embarrassing themselves in the process? I'd like to see an equally vigorous defense mounted on behalf of Libby, and our people would only have to point out the truth and fight back the lies of the other side. True, it is not the President who is charged here, but he is under attack nonetheless. I agree 100%! This administration has been woefully inept in the P.R. department. When the media pounds away at this administration with constant negative reports, one would think Bush would use his bully pulpit more effectively. And I want SOMEONE to re-release Joseph Wilson's report after he returned from Niger ALONG with the false statements he made contradicting his own report.
And someone please explain to me that if Valerie Plame Wilson wasn't a covert operative at the CIA, why did Fitzgerald make it sound like it was a crime that her "cover" got blown? If her identity wasn't "classified", he needs to be severely challanged on this point, IMO.

That's a pain for sure and really ticks my husband off in the mornings when I have the sound on my computer turned up full blast while I'm in the kitchen doing vitamins, tea and breakfast... he goes into his studio and closes the door so he can't hear.

To all those who want to be further educated in the law and the Libby indictment... as well as hear some libs get flamed... I invite you to a fun filled evening with the great one, Mark Levin. Thank me very much.
If you've never heard him you are missing a requisite course at Free Republic. 6-8p.m. EST That means now.

There was no connection to the outing of Plame regarding Libby.
Had he taken the 5th, no charges would have happened.
This was a trap and being it would look bad to not testify before the grand jury as a member of the White House staff, he was screwed.
Bottom line, Novak said he had nothing to do with the outing of Plame. The prosecutor said there was no outing of Plame by Libby.
Once the prosecutor realized there was no case that Plame was not covert, the investigation should have been over. That could have been figured out in the first month.
Libby is in trouble for not testifying to the prosecutor's satisfaction over a non-relevant issue regarding something that wasn't a crime. How do you charge someone with potentially 30 years of prison over this?

That's what I said last night.. I think they have nothing on Rove, but by keeping him in the crosshairs they keep the Whitehouse off balance -- which is what the libs really want if they can't get an impeachment.
To: Arizona Carolyn
It's all kept open because that is a legal option they have and it is to their benefit to leave the option open.
THAT is all that is, I think the whole thing is over.
