Iran :Academic Tehran ,Oct 27 ,IRNA - A senior Iranian academic said here Thursday that those who create political hullabaloo on President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's recent remarks on Israel are trying to use this as a means to forge hostility against Iran.
Pirooz Mojtahedzadeh ,a Tehran university professor and Director of Eurosevic Research Foundation in London told IRNA what President Ahmadinejad said in his statement Wednesday was an" ideological " approach and not a" practical policy." Turning to the negative and unfavorable reflection by several countries of Ahmadinejad's statement ,Mojtahedzadeh said" ,Such approaches are surprising and even incredible because what Mr Ahmadinejad said was on the occasion of the International Qods Day and world support for Palestine and it should not have been misinterpreted.
"Mr Ahmadinejad did not say that we( Iran )have such a plan or intend to launch such a move at a specific time".
Mojtahedzadeh added" ,Those who take advantage of this issue for creating hue and cry against Iran should not forget that Israel has threatened Iran with military attack at least 10 times and with nuclear attack in one case.
"Israel has been trying for years to force the US to enter into action and militarily attack Iran and wipe out this country from the (world)map".
He added that they should see how Israel is planning to eliminate Iran from the world map through the United States.
He also drew the attention of observers to the anti-Iran activities of the Bush Administration .He said Michael Ledeen ,an advisor of US President George Bush has gathered together in Washington ,all the separatist ,secessionist ,underground and even terrorist groups that( Iraqi dictator )Saddam Hussein had created to separate Iran's Khuzestan ,and is masterminding a plot to eliminate Iran.
"These circles should know that the recent statements of Mr Ahmadinejad had an ideological nature and was not meant to be a "practical policy" ."However ,what is raised by Israel has a "practical aspect "and they are preparing - along with their agents the grounds for elimination of Iran ",he said.
Mojtahedzadeh said, "I ask these circles once again why they act so thoughtlessly and turn a statement made on a certain occasion (International Qods Day )with an ideological and impractical approach into a means and a pretext for massive propaganda against Iran ,but keep silent vis-a-vis the conspiracies of the rivals.
"Under these circumstances ,the justice-seeking and impartiality of those circles are unacceptable."
Btw, I wish Ledeen was an advisor to Bush
ping
A leader about to get nukes advocates the total destruction of an enemy country. Why would anyone be concerned?
I'm sure Hillery would agree, it WAS International Qods Day
after all, got to show solidarity you know.
WASHINGTON TIMES.com: Ramallah, West Bank - "IRAN LEADER PREDICTS ISRAEL'S DEMISE" by Joshua Mitnick (ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad yesterday predicted a wave of Palestinian attacks that would erase Israel "from the face of the Islamic world," just hours before a suicide bomber killed five Israelis in a marketplace. The attack, which wounded about 30, also made a mockery of a major speech by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who appealed in Ramallah yesterday for an end to attacks that he said were undermining attempts to establish a Palestinian state.") (October 27, 2005)
does anyone know what Qods is/are?
are there any national Qods, or just international ones?
Qods is Jerusalem
These guys are just like Democrats - they can't understand why people get so upset when their words are taken literally.
The silver lining is that thanks to these genocidal remarks by Iran, the USA and especially israel now have much better international justification for confronting their impending nuke aquisition far more forcefully.
>>Qods is Jerusalem
Man, I would never have pronounced "Qods" as Jerusalem.
Gotta get studied up on these new languages, I guess. :^)
Her Heinous parteth the hooves and cheweth the Quds..
use this as a means to forge hostility against Iran.
That step 1 was a long time ago.
Well, at least you got that part right, professor. Translation ... we'd love to vaporize Israel but we understand that if we try it our Persian asses are grass.
Oh, now I understand. Kind of like "death to the infidel" is an "ideological statement" while actually cutting their heads off with a dull knife is a "practical policy." So, I guess there is nothing here to worry about.
My mother has a big old persian cat named Percival.
It's too big for the microwave!
It's not Iran or Persians that are desrving of
destruction, but thge cult of assassins that
pretend to be men of God, that hold Iran and
it's peoples in a death grip, that deserve to
be destroyed.
Death to Khamenei!
Death to the Guard!
Death to the Basiji!
Death to the VEVAK!
You'll never convince me that she's Kosher.
Time to post one of your new maps were Syria and Iran are no more.
