just breaking!!!!!!!!
I wish Bush had sent up Keyes first. Keyes would have wiped the floor with them. They would reject Alan, but not before exposing themselves. Then Bush could have proposed a more "moderate" candidate.
To change the culture you have to change public opinion, and that comes about through education.
"since it appears that our military is not capable of "winning" the Iraq situation...bring them home...now!"
In case you haven't seen the news, Saddam is pissin' in a chrome commode in a 8 x 8 cell. That situation has been won. Now we need to help establish a beach head with the new Iraqi government to launch attacks on neighboring terrorist states. The trifecta can end after Iran and Syria. THINK AHEAD!!!!
What do we know about him, anyway, other than that the Democrats don't like him (that's not much to go on).
I, for one, am all in favor of burying the hatchet.
I'll take those words as Dane Tears.
Tasty. Wonderful. This is fun.
What's next a picture of you walking on water?
I can walk on water.
When it freezes.
I agree
Harry Reid is all PO'd. So no matter what people thought of Miers Reid being upset is a good thing.
If Brown is as good as people claim, then I think she would probably be the best choice of the "bunch". It would accomplish two things, getting a conservative originalist scholar on the bench AND it would hurt the Dems and the media as they could not stop themselves from attacking this nominee who just happens to be a woman and Black.
Dems on CNN are really ticked. Mires stepping down was so the right thing to do -- you can see it in their pinched faces...
yup. it's time to rock and roll. let's see a real fight with liberals and conservatives locked in a death struggle. this is a supreme court nomination. if you aren't willing to expend your political capital on this choice your not worthy of the office. re-nominate Bork.
/grabs popcorn
Don't pay attention to these doom and gloomers about Bush nominating a liberal -- remember we have over 130 Freepers that said they would vote for Hillary. He will NEVER appoint a liberal.
We are going to find out with the next pick of a conservative just who the "real" conservatives are on here and who are the disruptors/liberals pretending to be conservatives.
"She deserved to be heard then voted up or down."
We heard from her through a lifetime of writing and work, what would a couple hours in front of the spineless Senators tell us?
You just watch the Libs & MSM chortle that this capitulation marks the end of W's presidency.
They'll snear, "He can't even control his own supporters anymore."
Standing up to and opposing this nomination was perhaps one of the best things that could have happened. The conservatives are energized in a way they haven't been in a long time. Maybe that was the President's plan, but I, for one, think he just screwed the pooch on this selection. He's a smart politician, just not perfect. With any luck at all, he'll learn from this fiasco.
Exactly, couldn't agree more. People forget that this President is a master at Rope-A-Dope.
He wears everyone down, makes a last minute switch and everyone's too tired to fight. Watch.
That is why with the month of negative coverage from so influential MSM Bush's approval ratings are in the teens. (sarcasm) Oh yes, was he not suppose to have lost this election because of their power over the public opinion?
Sometimes I wonder what we are smoking. There is a paradigm shift taking place in the media and for all the MSM wishes they had their old power and act like they do, it is creeping away from them daily. They can still damage but not like they use to.
or words to that effect.
WOOO HOOO.....Celebrate good times, come on!!!
