10/25/2005 - ABOVE IRAQ (AFPN) -- Tuskegee Airman Col. Richard Toliver (left) chats with Maj. (Dr.) Vanessa Williams as their C-17 Globemaster III makes its final approach to Balad Air Base, Iraq. Five of the original Tuskegee Airmen -- the first African-American aviators of World War II -- are visiting the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing at Balad. The unit is a descendant of the "Red Tail Angels" of the Tuskegee Airmen's 332nd Fighter Group. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. Andra Higgs)

I had the pleasure of meeting Col.Toliver a few years ago at an Air show. My friends and I talked with him for about 20 mins. A true gentleman and quite a story teller.

Only way the alphabet spews would do that would be if the Men from Tuskegee came back and bad mouthed the troops now.
You can bet your bottom dollar though that the alphabet spews will try to get them to say something bad about the troops today.

I'm sure they have/will try, but these Hero's have to much class to participate in anything like that.

Those guys had nads beyond belief. I thank these heroes for their unstinting dedication, knowing that each mission they went on would probably not end with their returning. Despite overwhelming odds they outflew, outgunned and outdared the best that the Luftwaffe was able to throw against them while saving innumerable lives of bomber crews who were shredded with impunity before the Airmen's implimentation. Boo-yah!

I really just get thrilled when I see the manifestation of community based warrior tradition from the USA. Go Red Tails !!!!
In the above picture Col Benjamin O. Davis Jr. of the 322nd ( Teskegee) Fighter Group leads a mission against German trains in Austria. For this mission Col. Davis was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
