ABCNEWS TELLS WHITE HOUSE OF 'INDICTMENT' Tue Oct 25 2005 19:08:02 ET

"We have double sourced that the vice president's chief of staff has been indicted," a reporter for ABCNEWS claimed to a White House press spokesman this afternoon.

The White House refused to comment on the claim. The network said they didn't need comment, they were preparing to run with the development on this evening's network news broadcast, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

ABCNEWS claimed to the White House that it had double sourced how an indictment against vice presidential chief of staff I. Lewis Libby was set.

A senior White House source quickly determined ABC was bluffing; the report did not run on the East coast feed of the program.

ABC NEWS spokesman Jeff Schneider tells the DRUDGE REPORT: "There is nothing at all true about us having double sourced anything" regarding indictments.

Actually, Mark Levin had a post at The Corner the other day stating exactly that - that the discovery peformed by the defense could uncover a boatload of shennanigans by the CIA.

At this point, given what I've read, I don't believe indictments are coming, unless there's something we're not aware of.

The last thing I heard about Plame is that she fled to France, and hasn't been seen sense. Why go to France of all places? Why wasn't she questioned? Why isn't she here with Joe?

Have you noticed, though, for about the last 2 weeks, it seems like everytime I refresh the News/Activism page, yet another article (usually the NYTimes) about this pops up???

If I wasn't so lazy, I would see just how many articles have been written on this one subject in the last two weeks...probably a couple hundred acres of lumber worth...LOL

There was just a democrat congressman on H&C who is not only saying Libby and Rove are guilty...he is saying that the president committed a crime by lying to congress about the WMDs. I just can't believe these idiots actually believe what they are saying since for years before Bush even became president they were making these same arguments in support of Clinton's Iraq attacks. Even the claim that Democrats were just naive in believing the Bush intelligence is disingenuous since they were making these arguments before Bush was president. This isn't about Libby or Rove...they want Bush. It's as if these people don't think we can't use Lexus to find their quotes...or the media's own support for war.

They believe they now have Bush and his Admin where they want them and they will all be impeached. Local Err America last week spend two days (6 hours) on subject. First day on whether to conduct Bush war crimes in the US or World court. Second day on whether Bush and any other in Admin, could actually be EXECUTED for their war crimes. They are completely delusional at this point, already considering him impeached (in a Repub controlled House).

My theory is that she realized her little plot to embarass this administration got way out of control and now she is going to answer for it, UNDER OATH, by Rove's attorney. I wouldn't want to be Valerie Plame right now. Being on Rove's bad side can't be a good thing right?

It would certainly be refreshing to see the actual person responsible for blowing Plame's coverage charged: Joe Wilson and his mega ego.


I know this has been a story about nothing. Joe Wilson planned it that way...little known professional government employee manages to reach the lofty pages of the NYT and embarrass a President and suddenly make millions. As if there was any concern that his wife's "cover" might be blown....nope, no concern because they'd already planned on this new lifestyle.

What a sad waste of time and money to feed the ego of a pretty marginal human being who contributes nothing positive to society (except perhaps great laughs at the expense of honorable men like Bush & Cheney & Libby). The truth will come out eventually, perhaps not soon enough but someday....Joe Wilson will reap the chaos he caused others.

NO WAY could they impeach Bush over going to Iraq...he had the congress vote...and...

WE have video after video, speech after speech, of Clinton and most of the dems in Congress saying the exact same things that Bush did, re: regime change in Iraq...weapons of mass destruction...Saddam's association with terrorism.

Instead...I would like to be a family member of one of the troops killed on the USS COLE...and, having read that there was a WARNING not to go into that harbor..and it was ignored...

I think I might be doing like the "Jersey girls" did, and get on TV and start asking questions...
