ABCNEWS TELLS WHITE HOUSE OF 'INDICTMENT' Tue Oct 25 2005 19:08:02 ET
"We have double sourced that the vice president's chief of staff has been indicted," a reporter for ABCNEWS claimed to a White House press spokesman this afternoon.
The White House refused to comment on the claim. The network said they didn't need comment, they were preparing to run with the development on this evening's network news broadcast, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS claimed to the White House that it had double sourced how an indictment against vice presidential chief of staff I. Lewis Libby was set.
A senior White House source quickly determined ABC was bluffing; the report did not run on the East coast feed of the program.
Developing...
UPDATE
ABC NEWS spokesman Jeff Schneider tells the DRUDGE REPORT: "There is nothing at all true about us having double sourced anything" regarding indictments.
More from Drudge:
CBS JOHN ROBERTS: Lawyers familiar with the case think Wednesday is when special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald will make known his decision, and that there will be indictments. Supporters say Rove and the vice presidents chief of staff, Scooter Libby, are in legal jeopardy...

Indictments in CIA leak case about to be handed down
What planet does he live on?
who in the Senate is going to go out on this limb for the administration again? the administration didn't trash Wilson the first time he was tee-ed up as a liar. they gave up on the Niger story too fast (it was true).
I realize the "weak knees" in the Senate prevent my hope from happening, but that's simply what I would do. I would counter with my own investigation and charges.
There was just a democrat congressman on H&C who is not only saying Libby and Rove are guilty...he is saying that the president committed a crime by lying to congress about the WMDs. I just can't believe these idiots actually believe what they are saying since for years before Bush even became president they were making these same arguments in support of Clinton's Iraq attacks.
Even the claim that Democrats were just naive in believing the Bush intelligence is disingenuous since they were making these arguments before Bush was president. This isn't about Libby or Rove...they want Bush. It's as if these people don't think we can't use Lexus to find their quotes...or the media's own support for war.
My attitude exactly!

FT: Indictments in CIA leak case about to be handed down...
CIA leak investigators hold last-minute interviews with Plame neighbors...
FLASHBACK: Numerous neighbors were aware that she worked for the agency...
Will Wilson flee to France before he is called up as a adversarial witness at a trial?
O gee..Now Morris is touting the Cheney told Libby line of the NYT..I am watching the talk shows for the first time in a while..I got sick of conservatives fighting each other and all the speculation.
Iraq approved of a constitution and no one noticed...
check out my post #627
Hmmmm
This discussion is well above Morris's pay grade.
what do you make of that?
Why would her neighbors matter in this?
If I recall the story correctly .. many of the neighbors knew she worked for the CIA because Joe bragged about it
A change of venue would be a must. There is no way a Republican can get a fair trial in DC.
I remember the Watergate trials... Never in DC again!
I hope and pray this rumor is not true.
When this is over, that should be the administration's official response. ;)
Also .. the neighbors would matter because Joe claims that nobody knew she worked at the CIA
This would be more proof that Wilson is a liar
The FT times story reads like a hodgepodge of information culled from other reports.
I think there are some people anxious to report anything and so they are projecting a finale based on lawyers who will speak but have no direct association with the case.
JMHO.
If they get them for perjury, the lefties are going to whine about how Republicans got Clinton for it so that makes it fair.
LSU is coming to town soon. :o)
