Qatar-based Al-Jazeera television aired footage Monday of the purported shooting of a US soldier in Iraq by a member of the so-called Islamic Army in Iraq.
The brief grainy footage, which was later posted on the Internet, shows a US soldier in his uniform and helmet falling to the ground near an armoured vehicle after being shot by an alleged sniper from the militant group.
A child is seen running across as the soldier is hit. The channel said it received the tape Monday but there was no independent verification of its authenticity.
"On this morning of Ramadan 21, October 24, a sniper company from the army was able to hit a US soldier in Baghdad and kill him thanks to God," said a statement signed by the group and posted on a website which posts messages from Al-Qaeda and other militant groups.

I've come to a conclusion... The Islamic portions of the world are 500 years out of date because they are largely completely ignorant of simple mathematics.
This soldier if he was killed will be avenged a few hundred times over.

I have a video that shows a soilder being shot by a sniper and the soilders vest saved his life and the soilder got up and engaged the snipers that were concealed in a Van. If this is the footage that AlJazeera is showing, the end of the story is this. The Soilders engaged the snipers that were concead in a Van. The soilders killed one sniper and wounded the other sniper. the soilder that was shot by the snipers in the Van gave the wounded terrorist first aid.
About a month ago I saw a clip with to Jihadies chanting alha fubar or some such. Across the street is a US soldier standing guard next to his Hummer. You hear a crack as one of the jihadies fires a shot from a sniper rifle and the soldier goes down hard.
About 3 seconds go by and the soldier jumps back up, weapon at the ready (looking really pissed) as he makes cover behind is vehicle. The jihadies keep chanting as if in a drug induced trance.
I think most have forgotten who Cody was.

And I have footage showing a terrorist on a water tower getting blown in half by a .50 cal sniper rifle from over a half mile out......show that on TV, Al-Jazeera.
