If this is the footage that AlJazeera is showing, the end of the story is this. The Soilders engaged the snipers that were concead in a Van. The soilders killed one sniper and wounded the other sniper. the soilder that was shot by the snipers in the Van gave the wounded terrorist first aid.
The video that you refer to was the first thing that I thought of as well. I hope that's the case.

That's right, they shot the medic - the guy with the red cross on his sleeve. And after they chased down the bad guys, he attended to the wounded one (who has probably been released from the hospital and Abu Ghraib by now) and they confiscated the van they shot from and the video they made.
The army published a short interview with him. Said he thought he was dead for a few seconds, then realized he was still alive and jumped up - and he was very pi$$ed off.
