I assume this refers to the boyz from the hood I see driving around here with their seats reclined so far back you can barely see the tops of their heads. I have no idea how they see over the dash to drive. Of course, maybe they don't...

For some strange reason, Ford is supposed to make sure people understand that cars don't drive themselves
Mine does. It has cruise control... and a special feature that makes me actually a better driver when I'm drunk.

Why have reclining seats at all? If you're not supposed to use them when riding in the car, what's the point?

Bottom line, Ford has been found liable for failing to properly warn the public not to recline in their seats while driving. I haven't seen a warning, but I have found I drive better when facing forward...

How about quenching down in your seat so just your kinky hair is visible?

Well, at least it was not $16.96 billion. Juries are typically idiots when they come to these types of awards; or should I say "rewards"? Let's see - who was driving the car? Seems like it should be THEIR problem, not Ford's.

I don't think it's in the driver's manual either. Or the law. There oughta be a law!

Audi's used to drive themselves....

You mean cruise control isn't like autopilot? I was planning a long trip this weekend and thought I would just set the ol' cruise then climb in the back for a snooze.

This is the same caliber jury action that required lawn mower manufacturers to issue a warning about stopping the engine before removing the blade.:-(

She's reclining with her feet up on the dash, and it's Ford's fault? How could she think she'd be protected in an accident? If it was in the manual, they'd argue that it wasn't prominent enough.

OKAY, then. Coming in the 2007 model year, reclining seats that all snap up and lock in the fully-upright psoition when the parking brake is released.
Vehicles not having thie "feature" will sell better.
