Miers Critics "Far Right," Says Miers's Ex-White House Officemate

TRANSCRIPT FROM TUCKER CARLSON SHOW:

Adding to the sexism, elitism, faith, and threat cards in the White House arsenal, comes the "far right" card.

Speaking in support of Harriet Miers on Tucker Carlson's MSNBC show last night was Brad Blakeman, described by Carlson as "a former deputy assistant to President Bush [who] shared an office with Harriet Miers for three years."

I'm posting the entire transcript of the Blakeman interview below. Go to the parts in bold to see the "far right" business. CARLSON: ...today one of the many questions regarding Harriet Miers has been answered, in part, anyway, in a questionnaire Miers filled out while running for the Dallas city council in 1989. She clearly indicated, or seemed to, that she's opposed to abortion, unless the mother's life was in danger.

Some conservatives are not satisfied with that, but one who appears to be, joins us now from Washington. He is Brad Blakeman. He's a former deputy assistant to President Bush. He shared an office with Harriet Miers for three years.

Mr. Blakeman, thanks for coming on. [SNIP]

BLAKEMAN: No. I think, Tucker, the president could have put forth Mother Teresa, and there were some on the far right that said, "Well, you know, she's not really religious enough for me."

CARLSON: That's totally not true. You know that that's not true.

BLAKEMAN: No, it is true. The fact of the matter is, the far right...

CARLSON: Hold on. Wait. Hold on. Slow down.

BLAKEMAN: The far right thinks that...

Far right? I'll accept that one with pride.

yes, we want to thank you af vet.
After a couple of weeks of research and intense debate, have any minds been changed? Do you approve of the president's nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court?
I'm voting Hillary! 0.9%

Hillary thanks you.

You probably don't realize how much like Cindy Sheehan you are.

LOL!!!

Well when you hate Rush Limbaugh like you do for believing that he wants to get the president impeached-- I guess anyone looks like Cindy Sheehan.

Tone it down a bit or you're spoil all the fun!

I don't think it is funny. I despise people who undermine our Commander In Chief during wartime. They have a perverted sense of humor. As I wrote, this is not about disagreeing with his selection. I also did that (wanted Luttig). You go way beyond that. You're on a mission and it is not from G-d.

I don't hate Rush Limbaugh. I'm disappointed in his drug addiction and serial marriages but he is generally a likeable radio host. You on the other hand have no apparent redeeming value.

had the president done that, those-those people would have deep-sixed the nomination of Harriet before the president had an opportunity to nominate her.

No $hit, you moron.

Have you ever considered that Bush undermined himself with bizarre behavior?

"I don't hate Rush Limbaugh. "

Of course you do. You hate anyone who disagrees with Bush, I just cut and pasted your post which showed you believe that he's trying to get Bush impeached.

You're so delusional, you face of Cindy Sheehan superimposed on anyone who disagrees with this president.

Keep posting your nonsensical tripe, you really "help" the cause- 38% of the members are against Miers now.

Not during this Presidency, although that is what the left wing nuts claim. He did have at least an alchohol problem many years ago. He has stood up for this country's honor like no President has done in my memory.

I remember September 11th and I'm not going to betray this President.

Don't worry folks, the republicans will start talking nice about us again when they need some votes next year.

Sadly a great many who are pissed off right now, will limp into the voting booths, clutching their bruised, kicked-in groins, and beg to get kicked in the teeth too.

This is how his day must go:

7AM: Paperboy came late. Damn commie.

8AM: Went out for breakfast. Waitress was wearing a pink blouse and had a name tag that read "cindy". Hmm...pinkos...code pink anti war group...named cindy... MY WAITRESS WAS CINDY SHEEHAN! Refused to eat food served by a commie traitor because she probably hocked some traitorous lougies in my syrup.

9AM Took car in for oil change. When I said "good morning" to man at counter, he just said "morning". Not GOOD morning. How can he not think it's a "Good" morning when Bush is president???? He must want President Bush impeached. Refused to have oil changed by Godless commie traitors.

10AM went to grocery store. Noticed store now sells new york times along with other papers. Will not support a business that sells that LIEberal commie rag!

11AM Arrived home. Checked out the 'day in the life of president bush' thread to see Bush's new tie that everyone is talking about.

Noon to midnight: Patrolled free republic all day exposing commie traitor scum who are hurting the war effort by questioning our brave president.

More triangulation from the white house. They are trying to play to the middle and marginalize people with sincere doubts about the Miers nomination using every argument in the leftist playbook: sexist, elitist, radical right, theocratic...

How about they stop focusing on the nomination's critics and start documenting her judicial philosophy?

But you have to be careful, if you keep going over the top so easily, other people are going to catch on that you're just trying to make the pro-miers side look bad. Tone it down a bit or you're spoil all the fun!

Mega keyboard spew alert!

You love Jim Jeffords more than you do this president. You're a traitor.

You forgot Rove.

And Cheney too!

They're both traitors! It is clear they do not support Bush! They don't deserve our respect!

;-) <-- this is a "smiley face," and it means that this post is just humor!
