TRANSCRIPT FROM TUCKER CARLSON SHOW:
Adding to the sexism, elitism, faith, and threat cards in the White House arsenal, comes the "far right" card.
Speaking in support of Harriet Miers on Tucker Carlson's MSNBC show last night was Brad Blakeman, described by Carlson as "a former deputy assistant to President Bush [who] shared an office with Harriet Miers for three years."
I'm posting the entire transcript of the Blakeman interview below. Go to the parts in bold to see the "far right" business. CARLSON: ...today one of the many questions regarding Harriet Miers has been answered, in part, anyway, in a questionnaire Miers filled out while running for the Dallas city council in 1989. She clearly indicated, or seemed to, that she's opposed to abortion, unless the mother's life was in danger.
Some conservatives are not satisfied with that, but one who appears to be, joins us now from Washington. He is Brad Blakeman. He's a former deputy assistant to President Bush. He shared an office with Harriet Miers for three years.
Mr. Blakeman, thanks for coming on. [SNIP]
BLAKEMAN: No. I think, Tucker, the president could have put forth Mother Teresa, and there were some on the far right that said, "Well, you know, she's not really religious enough for me."
CARLSON: That's totally not true. You know that that's not true.
BLAKEMAN: No, it is true. The fact of the matter is, the far right...
CARLSON: Hold on. Wait. Hold on. Slow down.
BLAKEMAN: The far right thinks that...

"That all does wonders for Bush and his future agenda doesn't it.
You mean making both a laughing stock?"
You know that's what I mean. Bush came to town thinking his phony compassionate conservatism would change the minds of jerks like Kennedy and McCain. Instead of confronting the bullies that make up the power clique in Washington, he demurred. And now we have this situation.

Clearly, that is the reason David Brooks, George Will, Charles Krauthammer, Bill Kristol, and all those other conservatives chose to oppose Miers. They're just right-wing religious extremists. /s What is funny is that the Bushbots were calling Kristol and George Will closet liberals after they opposed the nomination. I guess that didn't work so now they're playing the extreme right wing. lol
To: Cboldt
bet the WH picked that charge up from reading FR. Next thing you know, Dan Coats will be on CNN mocking the anti-Miers crowd by screaming "WAAAAAAH!!! I'm a moveon.org conservative! WAAAAHHH!!!!"

WHAAAA! Why did you not pick the one WE want. I'm sorry the Anti-Miers find the concept of a Constitutional Republic so hard to deal with. This is BUSH'S pick and NOT yours! If YOU want to select judges, YOU run for PRESIDENT!! LOL!! Love the randomly capitalized words. Your attention to detail doesn't go unnoticed.

From where I'm sitting...right of center, you're far right.I see it as Far Wrong, no different than Cindy Sheehan. It is hatred of President Bush that motivates her to get up in the morning.

I believe this is the current list of labels: "Elitist, sexist, mentally challenged, cry-baby, far-right whiners". Don't forget "closet liberal" - both Kristol and George Will were accused of that.
Oh yeah, after Bork criticized the nomination he was accused of just wanting another nominee to fail so he wouldn't be alone.

You mention something Schumer said that echos what the person who is the subject of the article said. Then you blame it on the White House.
Problem is, neither Schumer or the guy who defends Ms. Miers in the article work for the White House. The guy in the article did work there for three years and shared an office with Ms. Miers. But somehow what Shumer and this guy say come from the White House in your dim mind.

It's funny you bring that up, your post below indicates that you're a big enough phony to charge Rush Limbaugh with trying to get this president impeached:

"Rush Limbaugh has been advancing the argument that a fight between Republicans is a good thing."
It certainly is if you are working for the impeachment of President Bush.

Well, maybe bayourod on illegal immigration, but it's a close call.
Why don't you just change your tagline to "if you disagree with me then you're a commie traitor" in order to save time?

Yes, all us commies are full of hate, comrade. You sound just like Cindy Sheehan. You undermine the President just like she does. You probably pretend to yourself that you support the troops while you mock their Commander In Chief, just like she does.

LOL.
I have to say, you're doing a good job of making the side you're pretending to be on look foolish. Great undercover work, AF Vet!
But you have to be careful, if you keep going over the top so easily, other people are going to catch on that you're just trying to make the pro-miers side look bad. Tone it down a bit or you're spoil all the fun!

After a couple of weeks of research and intense debate, have any minds been changed? Do you approve of the president's nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court?
