Probably to prevent more "suicides." ;)

I find it amazing in this day and age that they are STILL trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Thankfully the blogs and FR will continue to report the facts [some from on the scene reports] otherwise we would be forced to believe every piece of cr@p printed by the MSM. [appears to me that Boren is influencing a lot of those reports]

Good job on keeping the doubters honest here. Most of whom haven't read the threads from the beginning.

Thanks for the ping Gran.

I agree with you. At my blog I'm just trying to report what I hear - including conflicting reports. I think it's important at this point to "let my readers decide" what and/or whom to believe. I'm just trying to present all sides.

Granted, I have formed my own opinions and I've got some questions which I've written about both here at FR and on my blog, but I've TRIED to be unbiased at least when it comes to giving voice to conflicting reports! Still the more and more I see the less likely I personally am to believe the "lone suicide" theory for a large number of reasons - some bad, and some good (like an ongoing investigation being the reason the FBI is covering up at this point).

You're right. It is completely illogical... They are covering up for sure - I mean even some of their own student investigators and the evidence they've uncovered is being ignored. They are seriously damaging the reputation of the university's journalism school for sure - I guess that's a small price to pay to continue receiving monies from their foreign student population and football games though.

There are huge problems it appears within the intelligence/anti-terrorism agencies. Even in light of 9/11 it seems these problems have not only not been corrected, but may have gotten even worse... Personally, I think there are a few foxes in the hen house.

I saw that - no backpacks of any type allowed, etc... If there was no threat why the updated security? I suppose they could just say it's all in case of copycats, but again why would someone who wants to commit suicide go to all the trouble of making a bomb, especially when it's so dangerous to do so?

It is at times both amazing, and downright scary... The implications in a coverup of this sort run the gamut from being "innocent" and "good" to downright sinister. I want to hope and believe that it's for a good reason, but all the evidence I've seen points towards more sinister reasons. Perhaps the FBI is just using Boren's motivations to further their agenda of keeping what they know underwraps.

You want to hear something ironic? OU just hosted a question and answer session with BOB WOODWARD. Boren was saying how wonderful it was to get to know him on a "personal and professional" level. Too bad Woodward didn't spend more time at the university that I'm aware of. I'll be HE might be able to get to the bottom of this. Seems all his comments and talk of his experiences trusting "anonymous sources" fell on deaf ears (or bound hands) among the journalists at the school.

For the record, Hannity & Colmes is running a tease that they'll be doing a segment on this story in this hour--when in this hour, I don't know.

Just saw the whole thing on H&C..and Cole needs to go! This whole thing is a whitewash and I want to see BOREN"S ofshore accounts and now Coles's(rolling eyes)!!
THE ONLY QUESTION THAT NEEDS ANSWERING(and why the indictment and search warrant are sealed)..IS: WHY DID THE PAKI ROOMIE NOT NOTICE THAT THERE WERE EXPLOSIVES IN THE TINY APARTMENT?....HOW MUCH EXPLOSIVES DID THEY REMOVE FROM HIS APARTMENT?.... WHERE WERE THEY LOCATED IN THE APARTMENT?.... HOW LONG HAD THEY BEEN THERE? ETC>>>

This is not about marks in trees, and visits to mosques..or even the written 'jihad' word..IT IS ABOUT WHY HIS ROOMIE DID NOT REPORT Hindrichs BUILDING BOMBS IN THE APARTMENT!!

I was really disappointed in this interview, but it was pretty much what he had been saying locally. Oklahoma politicians seem to have a habit of letting Oklahomans down.

And, I wish Hannity had asked your question.

Hannity has a habit of letting folks down on the hard core basic questions. I still like him. The news has become Hollywood..like in those movies where the girl is fixing to get in the car with the killer..and ur thinking: "DON't GET IN THE CAR!"...but then you realize that if she doesn't get in the car..HOLLYWOOD has no movie and why am I stuffing my face with popcorn?..lol

I dunno where to go to from here..I trust no one..but fellow freepers...lol

You brought up some very good questions.

I'm so frustrated by all of this. Anyone reporting on "official anonymous sources" is labeled as a "hack" or a "liar". Anyone doubting the official story, and investigating inaccuracies and oddities is accused of "jumping to conclusions" -- although that's exactly what they (OU, Boren, Cole) want us to do and what they apparently have done themselves!!!

As I said on another thread the more vociferously Boren, OU and now Cole become in shooting down those who ask important questions and search for clarification the more they strenghten my suspicions that we are NOT being told the truth.

No Joke. My son and his best friend from OU were buying the whole line of BS coming from Boren's spin machine...until I asked them one very important ?...Which is what I just posed to you and anyone else capable of hearing.
They each said..to a person..they would KNOW if one of them were 'sneaking' bombs or bomb making stuff into the apartment!! END OF STORY!!

Thanks much for the pics and info.

He had the stuff in his backpack. Assuming he was sitting down, the tree and lamp post are off to the sides. The lpost has too small a xsection, but the tree might have been hit at bench level. The building behind the bench and the concrete pad would be where to check, but I doubt there's anything there. The windows were probably taken out with flying bench parts.

There's a white linear mark on the right side(when seated) of the new bench. Is that a blast mark?

Since he made and used a peroxide, maybe he packed it in plastic, so that when he sat down and leaned back the granules crunched and went kabluey. At any rate he looks more like a psychotic kid than a real jihadi.

He used TATP...

"At any rate he looks more like a psychotic kid than a real jihadi."

I suggest you read the summary at my blog. I've tried to mention all conflicting reports, and have provided links to all sources for what I've mentioned. It will answer many of the questions you have been posing on this thread.

BTW: New information tonight. Former FBI agent said the the FBI received new directives after 9/11 to treat all explosions as Terrorism related until proven otherwise. My question is why wasn't this done in this case...

How can you POSSIBLY say it was when the official story within 1-2 hours of the explosion was "lone suicide"????

I wonder why the search results of his apartment were sealed by the Justice Dep't? Anyone hear more on that?

Not anything beyond what's already been reported by Jayna Davis. Which is what I find so interesting... If the search warrant remains sealed and the FBI is not allowed to confirm or deny anything "at this time" (as they have said in numerous articles which quote the investigator directly) how could they have told Cole and Boren what was found (or not found)?

That's why this editorial is so misleading... Read their first sentence: "The FBI broke its silence Wednesday and announced" The FBI didn't announce anything! They (the student editors) are being told what was said to both Boren and Cole, in other words HEARSAY...
