That's what it is so far. I think the kid's a schitz. Given his warped mind, his fascination with death may have been his connection to jihadis and booms. I'm sure the feds ain't going to let any jihadis go free. I'm also sure the feds aren't going to post their findings.

The facts reported so far, IMHO don't add up to a "lone suicide". To believe that story you have to ignore a _mountain_ of evidence to the contrary (evidence reported by many more people than just "questionable" websites and through numerous "official but anonymous" sources).

I certainly hope the FBI won't let any jihadis go free, but if they aren't even looking in that direction how can we be sure they won't?

I agree that the FBI might not show it's hand in this if there is an ongoing investigation (meaning a wider plot), but why wouldn't they release the file if it would prove it was a lone suicide?

I'll personally stick to asking questions, and analyzing what's been reported so far, and remain skeptic regarding anyone who knows "FOR SURE" one way or another until all the evidence is presented... if that day ever comes. And yes, even then I may still have my doubts.

It is an ongoing investigation, but that doesn't mean it's a wider plot. At any rate, I'm ~95% confident the kid's a schitz, regardless. The other folks in his building are lucky he didn't blow the place when he was whipping up his crap.

"Personally, I think there are a few foxes in the hen house."

And you're not alone in that thought. Paul Sperry has detailed some instances in his book, "Infiltration" (www.SperryFiles.com) By the way, White House Aide D. Safavian was arrested a few weeks ago...

I wonder if the Oklahoma newspaper was so quick to buy the FBI stories as they pertained to 9/11, intelligence gatherings, etc.

Does anyone have any confirmation on this newspaper buying the "FBI told us, so it is true" line in any past stories?

Other FBI incidents ....from Paul Sperry's book, "Infiltration" (www.SperryFiles.com) Key Revelations:

- "In their rush to recruit Arabic and other translators since 9/11, both the FBI and Pentagon have cut corners on background checks and hired Muslim translators in spite of their dangerous ties to foreign military and intelligence agencies in Syria, Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan—and the government has suffered espionage cases as a result."

-"For instance, the FBI hired the daughter (named in book) and grandsons of a former senior Pakistani intelligence officer to translate intercepts of Pakistani and al-Qaida targets in Washington, despite warnings from counterespionage agents about major red flags in their personnel files. Top secret law enforcement information subsequently has been compromised."

- "Another bureau source (also quoted by name) who worked as a translator inside that squad called it a veritable "mole house."

-"Laptops with classified intelligence about al-Qaida investigations have gone missing from the translation unit in the Washington field office of the FBI."

There's more but, we get the idea.

Certainly raises enough questions where I am hesistant to accept the party line part and parcel...

If it was a simple suicide, perhaps you can explain why security has been increased at all university and high school sporting events? Suicide prevention?

If it was a simple suicide, perhaps you can explain why his Pakistani roommate claims to have never noticed the hundreds of pounds of explosives stored in the very small apartment they shared--explosives, I should add, that have a strong odor to them?

If it was a simple suicide, perhaps you can explain why one bomb wasn't enough? The hundreds of pounds of explosives left behind would seem to indicate an intent to return. Part B of this question--if this was intended to be a suicide and nothing more, why was he trying to get his grimy mitts on ammonium nitrate just three days before he blew himself up?

Oh, one more question.

If it was actually a simple suicide and nothing more, WHY WAS THE SEARCH WARRANT SEALED?

"I'm sure the feds ain't going to let any jihadis go free."

Oh, my. I'm trying not to laugh, honestly I am. If this weren't so DEADLY serious, I'd be rolling on the floor.

Spunkets, dear heart, you have a lot to learn. I suggest you read Jayna Davis' book, "The Third Terrorist." Not only did the feds let a jihadist go free, one jihadist from the OKC bombing turned up at Logan Airport on 9/11/01. They very nearly let the "Shoe Bomber" go free because it was easier to say he was "harmless." They knew about jihadist cells in several cities around the US before 9/11/01 (including in OKC!!) and let them, well, go free.

Read and learn.

(But let someone have a gun sawed off by just an inch or so, and they'll descend like a plague of locusts, shoot your dog, your wife, and possibly your baby too...)

Yes, isn't it amazing he didn't blow up his Pakistani roommate, who apparently was blind, deaf, and had no sense of smell so that he could claim he never knew anything was going on?

(guffaw)

"There's a white linear mark on the right side(when seated) of the new bench. Is that a blast mark?

As far as I can tell, it is a chalk mark from when they drilled new holes to anchor the replacement bench. They did not use the existing holes, as far as I could see.

"perhaps you can explain why security has been increased at all university and high school sporting events? Suicide prevention? "

Yes, events like this attract yer sports.

"Pakistani roommate claims to have never noticed the hundreds of pounds of explosives stored in the very small apartment they shared"

There wasn't 100s of lbs in there.

" a strong odor"

Acetone is similar to ether in flamability. If the odor was that strong, the pilot lights, or static would have caused the place to light up.

" why was he trying to get his grimy mitts on ammonium nitrate just three days before he blew himself up?"

I told you schitz. In his psychotic delusions he was somehow a jihadi at war with whoever. Parking his ass on the park bench reinforces that, because it indicates the dissonant conflict in his own head prevented him from going any further. crunching the crystals in his backpack ended the struggle with a flash.

Are you trying to put all this "planned" activity into some kind of a plot? All I see here is extreme wackjobbery. The plan looks like it was made by an impetuous psycho. You think the Paki would not at least covered his track if he had anyhting to do with this, or took off?

"one jihadist from the OKC bombing"

McVeigh acted with Nichols and hte AZ creeps. He was not acting with jihadis.

Also, warrants are sealed and no info goes out, because it's an ongoing investigation.

"crunching the crystals in his backpack ended the struggle with a flash."

My impression (and this is ONLY an impression, from talking to one of the cops who was first on-scene)is that the kid was holding the explosive (device or possibly just a ziplock baggie) in his lap. He was "gone from the waist up, with just a little of his spine showing above the waistline." Quote is as best I remember it.

That would also be consistent with the damage to the bench; a recoil-less rifle uses an explosive charge to kick the projectile out the barrel. Backblast goes wherever the breach is pointed. The baggie in his lap would have done much the same thing to his upper body, smacking the back and seat of the bench rather hard, but not necessarily hard enough to break it. (I've heard the seat was intact, the back broken, someone else, like LibertyRocks, may know more.) The "backblast" from this would have been in the direction of the trees and buses and such across the sidewalk (and street) from the bench.

He had the stuff in his backpack. Assuming he was sitting down, the tree and lamp post are off to the sides. The lpost has too small a xsection, but the tree might have been hit at bench level. The building behind the bench and the concrete pad would be where to check, but I doubt there's anything there. The windows were probably taken out with flying bench parts.

Remember that PhiKapMom reported a "directional device. If the favored direction was forward, relative to the bench, the tree and the lamp post would be off to the side of the main area of effect. The back and side blast might still break windows that were fairly close.

Also, warrants are sealed and no info goes out, because it's an ongoing investigation.

If it's so clearly a suicide, why is there an ongoing investigation? Warrants are only sealed, legitimately that is, to prevent the target from knowing about it beforehand. Obviously that doesn't fit the lone suicide scenario. They may also be sealed in national security situations, which again doesn't fit a lone suicide. Generally the warrants are unsealed after being served, again unless there are other suspects, or national security related information would be compromised by the information in the warrant, but that also doesn't fit a lone suicide. The warrant need only supply the reason a crime is suspected (and it doesn't have to be much), and describe what is expected to be found and/or seized. When the warrant was issued, it's quite plausible that a wider conspiracy was suspected, Boren's statements aside. But once the warrant had been served, and supposedly no links to foreign terrorists were found, I can't imagine what legitimate reason there might be for keeping the warrant sealed. Maybe the report of what was found, but not the warrant itself. Unless of course it contained information about local terrorist connections, but they turned out not to be a factor in this case. But even that would something people really ought to know.
