good grief!!!

The MSM is using Gene Lyons and Joe Conason's old friend, Murray Waas as their only source??????????

an amused spectator, thanks so much for connecting the dots. I didn't know a thing about National Journal, and had no idea on Waas' history with the people who've sworn revenge for the Clinton impeachment.

And who the hell is leaking to Waas? And is it leak or fiction?
'
I know the MSM is anti-Bush, but it's incredible to me the MSM would go this far. They must be rabid!! Like Ronnie Earl going after DeLay, the MSM and their closet source probably won't care if Bush gets impeached, it's enough they destroy his reputation and his legacy.

Ms. Couric's biased, far left interviewing can be expected to become even more pronounced in the coming weeks and months...she is an ardent devotee if not mouth piece for Hillary.

Which would be quite surprising. When Good Morning America surpassed The Today Show in ratings, it seems Katie toned down the rhetoric and TRIED to be less antagonist. Apparently she's known behind the scenes as a pit bull and has been trying to change her image. However her statement today proves you cannot make a leopard change its spots.

But, if they are wrong, and they have spent hours in conjecture on the airwaves about Rove and Libby, they will look like absolute idiots

Indeed and that's why we're hearing mutterings IF Fitzgerald does not indict, it will be a waste of taxpayers money for him to have spent two years for naught. In short, the fix is in and it was on our dime. They will never take the blame for faulty reporting.

It could also be that if he doesn't indict, he wants people to know that he researched this thoroughly and couldn't find anything! There's 2-sides to that coin.

Not sure if this is a duplicate, but the case can be made that Fitzgerald won't indict anyone and he wants to assure everyone that his investigation was very thorough. Every rock overturned, etc. There are 2 sides to look at this.

I stopped watching the Today Show in the 90's after many years of tuning in. Brian Gumball made me so angry at the time, I swore to never watch it again (and I haven't). I remember looking for an email address to send them a nasty-gram, and they didn't have one.

I'm ashamed to say I went to school with her at the University of Virginia.

Which one of you is more representative of the typical UVA grad?

Chris Matthews talking about underlings doing questionable things so that those above them aren't involved. He said he saw it happen all the time when he was in Washington. He was attempting to attack the Bush administration, but I thought that it was funny that what he really did was admit complicity to questionable practices on a daily basis.

And of course Chrissie is a Democrat, he worked for a Democrat, he hung around with Democrats every day that he was in Washington DC.

I'm sure he's seen plenty of unethical and illegal things in his time spent with the Democrats.

Couric: Wrinkling shriveled lips is "the way that looney liberal journalist grows bitter over time"

Katie, take a chill ya pill. Even Matt Lauer came close to rolling his eyes at you this morning when you said it was homophobic for straight hetero men to deny they ever had (romantic) crushes on other men in that survey.
Seriously girl, build a bridge and get over yourself.

She's also the most widely-watched of the morning network show hosts. Millions get their news and views from her. I believe it's worthwhile keeping track of her antics. Is it really necessary to gratuitously order fellow FReepers to get a grip?

I may not have been clear. I was not questionning Fitzgerald but merely suggesting how the dems/media will spin it if he doesn't indict anyone.

As the concept of death sinks in , the zombie Rat pundits are progressivly losing it. The only hope is to lie, lie, lie. Surely enough people will believe the lies to resuscitate the corpse.

The truth is that the Democrat Party is no more. There must be a radical transformation for resurrection.

The coalition of losers is no more. The underlying groups are fragmented and weakened, They lack the power to persuade their members to think and vote as they are told. They actually lack members as old people die off and young people can't be coerced to take up the frayed old causes.

I'm trying to get an idea of what a UVA education is really like.

My son was considering applying there at one time because we understood they offered an excellent classical education and a first class reputation. And plus, the community in which it resides and is lovely. He decided not to leave Cali however, and so never applied there.

It's not easy to figure out the true essence of a university from the Princeton Review or from a university's website. So my question really was are UVA grads known to be more conservative or more liberal than grads of other universities in the same league.

The question wasn't intended as an insult in any way. I really hope that UVA as one of America's premier top drawer schools is a good solid university that can be trusted to educate and train and not to indoctrinate or brainwash.

Thanks for the reply. I'm from Charlottesville and I graduated from Virginia, and I suppose it's like most good schools, a true mixed bag. No, your son would not have gotten a conservative education unless he searched for conservative professors, and Virginia does/did have quite a few. But, like most schools we have our share of whiny liberals. UVa is a great school (undergrad and grad schools), and it has one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. Thomas Jefferson truly knew what he wanted to create. The one bad thing is our football team stinks, but I have high hope for our basketball team. I would urge your son to apply to the Darden School of Business, the Law School or the Medical School if he wants to go to grad school. Darden is rated as one of the top business schools in the country.
