Internet Blocked By CIA (Your IP is being logged) (Vanity)

I'm not one to normally complain on FR about freedoms that have been lost since the 9/11 attacks.

But...

We talk about the communist country of China and how they don't have free internet access.

Last night I was reading through some threads and started doing some Jihad research and came up with one of Al-Qaeda's web site's called Jihad Media Battalion.

I typed the url www.k-j-i.tk and it said "could not be found"

So I Googled Jihad Media Battalion and came up with katiba.100free.com/default.html

When I went to this site it started to bring up there site but I was then immediately sent to the c.i.a. website which said in the url  bar that my I.P. was being logged.

Now this scares me because, not only have I been censored to  research against the terrorists that we are fighting, but now I am made to feel as if I am being examined as a criminal now because I was looking at that site.

So it makes me feel like the c.i.a. is wondering and perhaps investigating what my motives were for visiting the site.

Now I, like many, would normally feel grateful that the c.i.a. is ay least intelligent enough to know about the site and we would want them to do there best to find any home grown Jihadist's.

But.

I felt like my freedoms and right to privacy were smashed and that I could be a suspect by the "thought police".

Some other url's that I found through Google are below but I don't want to go research our enemy because it might incriminate me. I have not visited the below links so I have no clue what they are. I am sure they are all Al-Qaeda links.

The question is is the "CIA" site that one is redirected to the CIA or someone faking it?

Another question is how did the original poster come across the Web site URL to begin with?

So the prank of redirecting you to the CIA site and informing you that you're being watched worked. Seriously, think about it. ;-)

Then again... maybe our CIA is that incompetent.

The CIA is not involved. The web site itself is redirecting you to the CIA. Just turn your security on high (by selecting Tool; Internet Options; Security). That blocks their script from executing. And then go to katiba.100free.com/default.html again.

I have a program that I wrote that can analyze the site and its content, but I think the CIA (or NSA) is much better equipped to do that then me.

I refer to the terrorists as towel heads, myself, though I hear and see worse name-calling, such as rag head. Perhaps there'd be less of same if prominent Moslems would actually condemn the terrorists, and condemn often. Instead, they remain silent or, alternatively, justify the murders/attacks. Terrorists behave inhumanely, so, as far as I'm concerned, treating them "inhumanely" or "abusively," such as calling them names or putting panties on their heads, is a laughable "offense."

You do realize, of course, the PC garbage is a major contributor to the difficulty in protecting Americans from terrorists and eliminating terrorism (think "profiling is evil").

I am skeptical, personally, about the complete intentions of the Patriot Act....it's a two-edged sword...it all depends on the human being(s) to whom is given its power (i.e., there are those in charge who think in such nefarious ways as defining what "is" is). As far as I'm concerned, if the goal with the Patriot Act is to protect Americans (and I must assume it is), I would think less eyebrows would be raised in disbelief, or objection, if the borders had been closed subsequent to 9/11....that would have shown some teeth to the government's stated concern that it is very serious with American security.

Just a point of order... WHY would the CIA announce they are logging your attempt to get there? Think about it.. if you want to catch terrorists you don't announce that you are watching their every move.... A person being spied on doesn't know he's being spied on... spies don't go around saying, Hey You.. I'm watching you.
