Everyone else is a Texan or her boss.
SHE CAN'T BE THE NEXT ASSOCIATE JUSTICE!
Do you have a source for this?
I am not happy about the pick, but you sir are a liar.
I've just looked her up on Open Secrets and she has never donated to anyone but Republicans.
You are a troll. She did not. A quick search at FEC.gov under individual search shows she donated to Bush and other GOP candidates / PACs
"She donated to the DNC and ALGORE for President!"
Yep.. :( :(
Perhaps there is NO difference in politics.
Source please.
How do you know that she donated to dnc and algore? If it is true give us some proof. We operate better with proof.
Oh, come one, you're behaving like the MSM. Lies by omission.
As I'm sure you're aware, her last donation to any democrat was in 1987, following which she has consistently donated to Republicans.
She has apparently grown in the nearly 20 years since her donation to any democrat.
How many times have I heard complaints about SC justices who do their "growing" after being appointed to the court? She's gotten hers out of the way, and the "growth" has been in the right direction.
I think you have your threads mixed up. I was just reading the Today Show ping and they were talking about Katie Couric who donated to the DNC and AlGore...at the same time they were discussing this nomine having been picked..You got confused...
Even the current Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, is a former Democrat.
WTF is this?
Roberts I think will turn out OK, but who's this yahoo?

Link Please.
In 1988!! At that time she also made contributions to Lloyd Bentson. She might have even made contributions to Phil Gramm while he was still a democrat. Keep in mind that back then, many Texas democrats were more conservative than most northeastern republicans. At the time, also algore was widely considered a "conservative" democrat. This was in the primaries when he was going up against the likes of biden and dukakis.
What was Bush thinking?
Liar.
Another STEALTH LIBERAL -- God help us. Amen.
That was when he was still a conservative Democrat.
(Audible Groan.)
If Pres. Bush wanted to nominate an ancient Texan he could have just as easily gone with Rep. Ralph Hall.
I know I would have been pleased.
Harriet Miers 2004 Contributions:
Harriet Miers is a ardent constitutionalists from what I hear. Also, Bush will get one more SC pick before March 2008.
I what to know if Roberts or Miers believes international law supersedes the US Constitution? I guess I'll write Roberts a letter and ask him.
