Bush has demonstrated that pre-announcement speculation is vanity and not useful.

I wasn't even old enough to vote in 2000, and I still paid attention.
Well son, I helped elect Ronald Reagan twice - while residing in the State of Texas. G.W. Bush's political friends in Texas were certainly Reaganites.
At least we can agree now - my hopes for a Texas Conservative in G.W. Bush were dashed when it became clear that he is a Country Club Republican.
My guess is the Constitution Party will pick up some support now.

She donated to the DNC and ALGORE for President!Oh, come one, you're behaving like the MSM. Lies by omission.
As I'm sure you're aware, her last donation to any democrat was in 1987, following which she has consistently donated to Republicans.
She has apparently grown in the nearly 20 years since her donation to any democrat.
How many times have I heard complaints about SC justices who do their "growing" after being appointed to the court? She's gotten hers out of the way, and the "growth" has been in the right direction.

Well now, that's some sad info.
I was hoping for Janice Rogers Brown.

This is a very un-PC question to ask but is she married? Does she have children?
To: johnmecainrino
This is nonsense.
Repeat after me: Luttig, Luttig, Luttig, Luttig, Luttig.

You are a reactionary. Wait until some facts rather than unsubstantiated rumor come out.

One of the legal analysts on CNN stated Harriet Meirs is pro-choice.
I AM SO DISSAPOINTED AND PISSED OFF!!!!!!
To: redfish53
Exactly, doesn't anybody here remember that Edith Clement was supposed to be the pick last June instead of Roberts?

I think it's stated in one of her bio that she's single and has no children.

Bush knows her well, so I think we have to assume she is on the same wave-length. Bad news for us.

I'm withholding my remarks until PRES. BUSH says her name.
Remember what happened when he picked Roberts?
