BUSH, AGAIN, HAS CHOSEN A FRIEND OH HIS RICH FAMILY. SHE WILL BE VERY SIMILAR TO GONZALES.

I am not happy about the pick, but you sir are a liar.

I've just looked her up on Open Secrets and she has never donated to anyone but Republicans.

F&F indicating Miers not a strong pro-lifer, ala Condi.

***

I am so pissed off and disappointed. My support of the GOP has just waned a lot. What's the use in voting for them?
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

You are a troll. She did not. A quick search at FEC.gov under individual search shows she donated to Bush and other GOP candidates / PACs

"She donated to the DNC and ALGORE for President!"

Yep.. :( :(

Perhaps there is NO difference in politics.

When we went to vote in 2000 we thought we were getting a Ronald Reagan Conservative.

If that's what you thought, you weren't paying attention.

Scroll down, in 1988 (not 2000).

Anyway, she donated to the DNC and ALGORE for President in the past and I think her background was liberal. Later she became loyal to President Bush. I don't think that the best candidate today will be the best Justice in the years to come. Bush's term will finish in 2008 and then, to whom will she be loyal?

THIS IS BAD NEWS!

Yeah ... I know how you feel.

What's the problem with this pick??

Zero judicial experience. The Democrats will eat this alive. And the Conservatives will join in.

People forgot that the Bush family is not Texan, they are Kennebunkport, MA liberals who sniff the political winds.

It'll be interesting to see if CNN starts agitating for O'Connor to rescind her retirement again.

Pisses me off. Well, don't know that I will be voting next year.

Cronyism. This defines the Bushes. It is disgusting. We should oppose this nomination. We didn't elect Bush to promote his personal cronies, but to appoint proven, strict constructionists, to counter and reverse the 40-year perversion of the Constitution. Clinton nominated the most left-wing candidate in American history with Ginsberg. Why is Bush so scared to put a Rogers-Brown up there and win the battle of ideas--Americans overwhelmingly support our side.

Cronyism on freaking parade, people. Bush had a chance to go down in history with J. Michael Luttig or Karen Williams and he picked a female version of Abe Fortas.

Disgusting.

Be Seeing You,

Chris
