The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
I was making a joke -- these threads are impossible to track with all the backtracking of David Boren and the lid on the news media.
Go, girl, go.
"They found around 400 pounds of explosives in Mr. Hinrich's car and over 1,000 pounds in his apartment on campus."
This is strong evidence against the lone suicidal nut theory, to say the least. David Boren isn't looking too credible right now, and he seems to be strangely quiet over the last 72 hours.
I just wanted to make sure there wasn't going to be a test on what I had heard and what the real facts are! :-)
The only "accident" was that he blew up only himself or someone did it for him before killing a bunch of Sooner fans. He didn't intentionally blow himself up IMHO.
Your summary is fantastic -- great to see it all in one place! That must have been a headache to do all of that!
BTW, The Westerner, I was responding to early-thread speculation that Hinrichs may have been a passing victim.
You're right....we have way too much info now. Things are not being helped by the neglect in the MSM and the numerous contradictory reports elsewhere. LibertyRocks has put together a "Cliff Notes" version of the available info. I'm pinging her, PKM, and HR too.
LR: I think you have an excellent starting point for TW's suggestion. Do you think you can convert the Cliff Notes version into the format suggested by FReeper The Westerner? Please let me know if you want me to do it instead. I'll try to do something tomorrow. I did create a short version early in the thread but that is hopelessly outdated now. Does this make sense?
Thanks a lot everybody.
From what I was told he was in the process of removing the bomb to his jacket and some surmize here then go back in the stadium as they don't pat you down. For some reason it blew up thus calling it an accident. The bomb was in the backup originally.
bomb was in the backpack not backup that I typed.
Yes, you're right.....I was responding to some earlier speculation on this thread and I wanted my reply to be in these later replies for FReepers who are seeing this thread only now (I have been posting this thread's link on all related threads through the list-o-links).
LOL!! No test -- too many answers to the same question. I have seen articles and statements contradicted in the same article not to mention on TV interviews this week!
Well, this second little incident hasn't hit any of the news outlets either that I have heard/seen. Does anyone know her name and situation? Seems odd about having a gun and whacking herself when approached by the LEO.
With a second suicide on an American Campus you'd think at least the MSM would think there must be something in the drinking water at UO.
Something else was strange at the game. After the incident with the Nebraska player, Rufneks were only supposed to be on the field before the game and with one of their guns. All of suddent a bunch of them had guns and were in the end zone which were going off all the time. Now I wonder if there was an ulterior motive.
BTW on the Fox Channel, Boren just released a statement saying authorities had informed him they don't "believe" there is a conspiracy with the kid. Boren should just shut up and let the investigation take its course. Everytime he talks he has to backtrack! Knew he was pomposs but this is crazy to want the limelight in this case.
Why isn't the faculty, alumni and parents up in arms about all of this? Maybe instead of sending their stipends to OU they need to take out an full page ad in the USA Today....now that would be an interesting concept to see if they would print it....we do have the right under our Constitution don't we?
Or maybe a little FReeper collection could move this thing along.
Maybe it's nearly here:
An excerpt from a WND article or advertisement for a new book:
Corporations, government to track your every move New book 'SPYCHIPS' sets out disturbing scenario using RFID technology Posted: October 6, 2005 6:00 p.m. Eastern
"Can a microscopic tag be implanted in a person's body to track his every movement? There's actual discussion about that. You will rule on that mark my words before your tenure is over."n Sen. Joseph Biden, to Judge John Roberts at Supreme Court confirmation hearings, Sept. 12, 2005
Imagine a world of no more privacy, where hidden radio frequency scanners will be constantly pointed at you, wirelessly reading microchips embedded in your clothing, shoes, bank cards and even your own flesh.
It's the ultimate in "Big Brother," and according to the explosive new book companies including Wal-Mart, Target, Gillette, Proctor & Gamble, Kraft, IBM and even the U.S. government have all invested in making such a scenario a reality within the next decade.
Welcome to the world of Radio Frequency Identification, or RFID, where tiny computer chips smaller than a grain of sand will track everyday objects and even people keeping tabs on everything you own and everywhere you go.
While it sounds far-fetched and futuristic, it's already here and documented in "SPYCHIPS," written by Katherine Albrecht and Liz McIntyre. These two privacy advocates have uncovered extraordinarily detailed plans to use this new technology to watch U.S. citizens.
Revelations in the book include IBM's blueprint for a "Person Tracking Unit" that scans the RFID tags on unwitting members of the public as they move through retail stores, airports, train stations, elevators, libraries, theaters and even public restrooms. They intend to follow your every move.
Sound a lot like the Mark of the Beast? I think so. Within 10 yrs? At the rate technology progresses, especially if there's big money and societal control involved....I'm betting on three years or less.
You are right The Westerner - hard to separate fact and "official reports" from "rumor" and "off the record" reports and such - they all seem to contradict each other.
I definitely have the time indcons, however my head is swimming right now. As you said it's almost like "too much information". I'm sitting next to a stack of nearly 500 pages of articles, emails and "eye-" or "ear-" witness accounts I've printed out and I can't figure out where to "start" or how exactly to proceed. LOL Suggestions are welcome feel free to freepmail me if you have them. (o:
I'll take a look at AlamoGirl's page and I'll see if that helps at all. I'll definitely get back to you ASAP. (o:

Do any of you have a link for Alamo Girl's Fact File page? I remember seeing it several times before, but I'm having trouble finding it tonight.
Thank you... (o:
